Event Coverage **THE BIG H.A.M.B. SWAP MEET** (picture thread)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hot-rod dude, Jun 18, 2011.

  1. Hi Guys. I have been meaning to do this for a while now. I have had a detailed search and I'm sure this has not been done before. I had a great friend of mine pass away last year after a brief illness. He was a great big guy with a heart to match and was a great father to his 2 kids. He loved his old cars and was a swap meet and clearing sale addict. When he was ill in hospital, he told me how he missed the swap meets and wished that he could go to one and catch up with all his buddies, but he was bed ridden and it was just a dream. I suggested that I load a heap of swap meet photos on a lap top and he could browse at them all day long whilst in his hospital bed.He wanted to do that, but Keith's time came before I could organize it all.
How about we establish a picture thread with photos of cars for sale on trailers and photos of swap meet sites and the parts in them so as we scroll down the page with our mouse checking out all the neat cars and parts for sale, it would be like walking down the aisles looking at them too. It would be great with a brief description and a price too.
People restricted to their beds during illness, many of us between swap meet seasons or just when we have a little time will get a kick out of looking at a great big swap meet right here on the computer screen.

Heres a photo of Keith leaning on his favorite car, a '37 Chev Roadster.

some cool toys- too bad they are not here in the states. Looks like you Aussies still have some good old iron there for sale for reasonable prices.
