Check the old combine, some of them had 283's with the power pack heads others were 350's with the camel humps. Most were serviced very well and motors are very clean. looks like a 47-53 Chevy truck there too.

IIRC it was mostly Massey-Harris and/or Massey-Fergusons that used SBC power. Any I ever came across were low compression truck/industrial versions and had been run to death. Still worth taking a look though, ya' never know........

A lot of those combines - even into the late
'60's used 230 inch Chrysler flathead 6's too.

That old Massey combine will have a Chrysler industrial flathead 6. The newer ones had 292 6`s and 327 truck engines. Never saw a 283 or 350 factory installation, but farmers do that stuff every day! We put a 350 on a John Deere 105 years back, worked great for years until it burned up.
The coupe looks good, but most of the cars are just parts. Farmers never bought the cool cars, just grocery getters!

I am a farm boy, grew up in Peanut country, almost all peanut combines were powered by air cooled Wisconsin engines, never saw a small block in my area.

May be a 63 or 64 Chevy wagon in those first two pics.

There is also a 1947 chrysler business coupe in that area that you can see from the freeway. It's been sitting for years just like those ones.

I can see a nice manure spreeder with great patina. Would be very useful on the HAMB.

  16. I see a white, late 50's GM (Chevy) truck cab above what looks like a 61-62 Ford full size wagon in #1 as well as a couple 1/12 ton Chevy stake sides ('49-53),
#3 the old 30's truck and the earlier one are too small and blurry,
#4 blue 50-54 chevy 3100, a '73-'74 Nova, strike that, looks like it could be a '67 Galaxie... (big difference), naw that's not it...
#5 '86-ish Grand Marquis, '88 Crown Vic, '73 Pinto, Chevy celebrity or Pontiac 2000, 30 something, er,... something, and a '65 or '66 Ford F-Series.
    On third thought
#6 Photo, that yellowish car looks like it could be a '73 0r '74 Dart... I see the blue roof of an early 60's Ford P-up @ left and maybe a '46-'47 Dodge or Plymouth second from the end on the right?
    Just guessing tho...

    HA, HA!!:D:D

The photos are taken from a distance, sorry about the poor quality!

In Photo 1 and 2 there is a wagon, looks like a Ford to me, but unsure of what year!

I could tell the 48-53 truck, but it looks like there are a couple other cabs in the mix.
Also whats the coupe next to the big Red thing, I think they call it a barn!:D
I'll see what I can do about zoomin in on the pics!
