Nope,no pic........Hella nice Uncle you got there....Hope you get it usable for less $ than you could buy a driver 37 for.
all I am getting is a red X. You are linking to photobucket, use the tag from the picture that starts with that should make your picture show up. Now on to bigger and better things. Even if it is rough your uncle is a good man. No one gives '37 coupes away. I like him already without even seeing the pics. Build it fast and clean you will make your uncle proud, and me too.
I tryed the link and it comes up an invalid link. Go to the pic and copy the link from the adress bar and past it here for us to go over and take a look. I'll try and get the pics to load for you.
Cool that's not so bad. You'll have to come up with a piece or two but that can be found and it still shouldn't cost you as much as a complete roller. Its going to be work but like the mrs always says, if you build it it will be done right. Let us know how things are going. Doors, headlights, grill and the roof from a '38 standard will fit by the way. That will broaden your horizons when you are looking for parts.
You are a creative man surley to gawd you could do something with that bailer. I really like '37 -'38 Fords. There was a time that they were considered an ugly duckling. I am not sure why they have beautiful lines. They are a ***** to chop and get it to come out right at least the coupes are, the sedans are a little easier. It can be done and when done properly they are beautiful. Even no chop they are just as smooth as silk. The old car is rough but it is not beyond repair and in my opinion it is a great starting place.
Thanks for getting that pic up there. I had to go out of town and did not have time to do it. Some one needed some flat metal and cut a hole in the top. He told me he will never do anything with it and said if i wanted it i could have it. I will just try to hunt down parts. There is a real nice old buick super 2 door next to it.
thanks guys I will try to start on it soon. Might wait till fall its to hot here right now to do much of anything.
Yikes, not as nice as the uber cool and beautiful modest tan shade example, but sure a good starter. Good luck, you can do it.. ~sololobo~
The floor pans have holes in them up by the fire wall but the rest is all right. And has some rust in the tail pan and the bottoms of the quarters.
37/38 doors should be the same I think. If they are like the 35/36, a four door can provide the doors with a little work. This one wasn't a whole lot better than that when we started on it.
You have a cool uncle. I think the most I ever got from one uncle was a beer mug and I had to buy my own beer.
