And I'm pretty sure is the airplane, since it's in the photo album, in a local field, I suppose any flat area was good enough!

Record Players in cars was a groovy idea, although potholes kind of put a damper on their ability to play a platter without it skippin'... Love this pic...

I'm aroused but feel kinda creepy because of the JFK-era undies. It's sort of like I found vintage nude pics of my mom's best friend back before she morphed into a Little Debbie scarfing, man-hating bufferilla.

Me on my grandfather's Model A (roof is cement - it leaked and he was a mason) with my father's 53 Bel Air (Powerglide) in the background. That was my father's only new car. My grandfather kept driving the A until years later when he could not stop in time and wrecked the front. We had reports of the cement top laying in a junkyard well into the 70s.

Sorry for sideways but even though I rotated the image with an editor and saved it (it shows right side up on my computer) it somehow uploads sideways.

Okay, Sue Ann Langdon, not Jill St. John, Liz Taylor, etc.;)

But why the hell is she ironing clothes on the wall?:rolleyes::confused: Didn't the train, or bus have something resembling a small ironing board?

"Da, Mister Nixon, about the Arms Limitation Treaty . . ."
    . . . uh, er, isn't that Jill St. John's booty???"

As I always say, ONLY in the real world! Hollywood can't create anything
funnier than real life. Here in a 1973 visit with President Nixon at San Cle-
mente, Soviet Premier Leonid Brezhnev shows his Russian blood is indeed
red, getting a tad distracted by comely actress Jill St. John! Quick to see the
candid action, Wally McNamee was in the right place to grab this classic
shot! That's Brezhnev's interpreter to his left, though Jill's looks required
    NO interpretation!;)

[Here's a funny, also TRUE aside: A number of years after Preisdent Kennedy
was killed, Brezhnev was asked during a serious interview what might have
been different if he, instead of Kennedy, had been shot. Brezhnev paused for
a moment, then quipped, “Aristotle Onassis would not have married Mrs.
    Brezhnev."]

Here, in a late-'65 promo shot for the "Batman"
TV pilot, Adam West and Jill St. John mug it up.
Playing baddie Molly the Mole, this was Jill's
only appearance on the show and helped rocket
the TV ratings, as well as to revive the ailing "Bat-
man" comic title. (Photo THANKS to Quotes-
    Quotations.)

    Photo THANKS to IMDB!

Whether co-starring in a movie, guesting on TV or helping add sensual
zing to Bob Hope's tours, Jill's drop-dead looks made her the scene-
stealer in any and every setting. Though often cast as a gorgeous ditz,
Jill's IQ is actually in the 160-plus range;), making her a perfect sharp-
witted Bond Girl in "Diamonds Are Forever" in 1971, Sean Connery's
final Bond outing (discounting the '88 reprise). Jill is the long-time,
real-life spouse of well-known actor Robert Wagner.

Don Garlet's Speed Shop in Tampa. My big brother used to take me there. That's Don behind the counter in the dark shirt.

  27. Cool, I liked this picture when I first saw it because it reminded my of the speed shops that USED to be around here. Lot of shtuff to look at in there.

Thanks for pointing out "Big Daddy" in the picture.

    $6,000 in 1963 dollars would be a tick over $44,000 today. I'd pay 44K for a 260 Cobra.
