Man that is cool. Heck GG Colorado is right in my back yard. Teach me to miss a year.
Glad you got it and looking forward to the early 60's vibe you're talking about.

Also good to hear that 3w didn't go far.

  2. Mine's a 33 Cabriolet. It'll have a rag top so I hope that counts!

The four-cylinder Chevy body was a handsome one. I'm surprised nobody's reproducing it in fiberglass.

Here is mine. It's not much but it's a start. Plan on a Chuck Spurgin inspired early lakes car.

  11. 1 star rating woohoo!!!! We must be dorks or something cause we aren't building real ol'Skool ratrodarific™ hot rods. We're just poser wannabes I guess!

  14. Cool 31 Cruzincougar! How long have you been working on it?

  15. Seems like for frickin' ever. You can't call 1-800-rod part for Chevy parts and they are a "little" different.
Ya think you've got it worked out, mock it up and it isn't workable. Take it apart and start again.
But then, if it was easy, anybody could do it. At least the little woman know where to find me.

  16. Yeah but it'll all be worth it when you get to take it for a ride. I've been working on mine for about 4 years. Same thing, lots of fab trial and error. I hope to have it on the road next spring. Maybe I can take it for a ride around the yard before it snows up here!

I have a few questions about stock configurations of a roadster body
Is a 27 and 28 cowl the same?
The upper valiance above the trunk lid.. wood and steel?
The lower valiance below the trunk lid size/height?
The size of a trunk lid?
Any and all pics area greatly appreciated.
    Thanks...Jr

I built this 33 for my dad, it was his last car before he died...It had originally been a coupe. I used 32 ford stanchions, and fabricated the rest of the windshield.

Here are a few pictures of the '32 roadsters I have in storage. The roadster car is my dream car. That will be built right the first time. I already have the engine and transmission for it. I have had the body for the roadster car put away since the 90's. I had it all sprayed in DP90 while it was all like new.

I searched for the '32 Roadster Car body since I saw them in Hot Rod Magazine in the 80's. I got real lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

A real good friend and myself found the '32 Roadster Pick Up and grabbed it up about 10 years ago. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

These have Lexan Panels that replace the wood in areas like the doors, cowl support, cabin back and trunk.

Thanks! The '32 Roadster PickUp has the same sheetmetal from the doors forward as the '32 Roadster Car.
