No, seriously, I have no idea who those guys are. I dont pay attention to current Drag Racing at all.

 

So ..... ahhh ..... ummmm .... (stare at ground, shuffle feet) ..... this is kinda akward ..... (starting to sweat now) ..... (damn, left nut is itchy again ..... I really should have a doctor look at it) ..... well, I've waited long enough ...... now what? (what the hell, I can't even remember what this post is or was about) ..... earlier today a doggie licked my shoe! ..... jeeze, of all the things I've ever lost, I miss my mind the most ..... now where did I leave my pants? .....

 

Ok, Yea, I used to follow NHRA class racing pretty close, sometimes i assume everyone does. Buck Kinney is retired from NHRA class racing now, was the first Canadian inducted into the NHRA Hall of fame, has won his class at the Winters something like 8 times between the late seventies and the mid nineties, held the SS/JA or KA record during most of that time (traded it with another Div. 6 oldtimer Ivan Stewart a few times, they used to both run at Mission ALL the time, sure made for some good heads-up races when they would draw each other in eliminations), Div 6 Super Stock champ many times, ect, ect.

Hey, don't laugh, my buddy called me when that story came out and i was mortified (as i hadn't read it either). I called Tom's cell and when i he answered i didn't know what the hell to think... needless to say, he started quoting Mark Twain, 'the rumors of my death are highly exaggerated.'
