I have an issue I have this Chevy stepside and it has near the bottom of the windshield and on the rear gl*** it has a haze or a foggy effect. i was curious if anyone had any ideas how to get rid of it. I really don't want to replace if I don't have to. the gl*** is fine in this truck. there are no flaws in it other than the foggy appearance. please if you have any suggestions please let me know. thanks!

The gel between the layers of safety gl*** are oxidizing. You could use silicone to coat the edges and cover the gel. This means taking out the gl*** and re-installing it. This will only stop more air from getting in. The damage that is already done will spread out a tad more. It's like a drying loaf of bread, it will only buy you some time. It's a cancer for sure.

Some of it may be calcium deposits from years of being outside in the rain, try some 000 or 0000 steel wool on it and see if it comes off. if not it is in the gl*** and nothing will clear it back up.
