Is it a race car or a wannabe?..........or do you just want to put a name on it?

Nice engine, don't see that combo in anything much except a restoration..most AWB cars have injection. Good luck with the name.......it will stick with you for a long time...

We run the Texas Thunder car in NSS.......been carrying the same moniker and number since 97........and we just turned out a couple of 65 Dodge AWB cars last year........both for customers in Missouri.

How about naming it after another "famous awb" i.e. Poverty Flats Limo?

  15. This answer isn't exactly what you are looking for but I always thought (again, this is just my personal opinion) that drag cars looked coolest when they didn't have names/stickers etc all over them. I like the ones that HAUL ASS but wouldn't look out of place on the street on a Saturday night.

I remember seeing an all black '57 sitting at the starting line (no name, no stickers, just clean looking) ... damn thing almost carried the wheels to the eighth. Now THAT car was COOL.

There used to be a street Camaro in Toronto in the eighties with the name "The Executioner" ... always thought that was a cool name.

yep, names for race cars is a tough one-when you look at pictures of the originals there was a wide variety, even just name of sponsor. maybe River King, Revolution, Battle King, King Auto Supply, Baltimore Beast

Red white and gold leaf , besides fire trucks, sort of remind me of Christmas
    Santa's other sled,

Red is generally associated with anger "saw red" and fury is a synonym for anger
Red rage, fury-ous, mad 'mouth, loud 'mouth,

gonna pull the wheels? Stand up and fight

How about just The Red Rocket or something similarly simple for a simple but cool 60s/70s type name with the gold leaf lettering kind of rocked back and forth down the sides of the car.

are some of the funniest ones I have heard so far, I like them both and would have a hard time choosing between the two. Either one would definitely be memorable... definitely not lame like some of the names mentioned.

One that I was thinking of (sorry for stealing from above) but what about "Dead Stick"
