A few of us Emperors went over to Billetproof NW over the weekend. The weather was great, We had a good 700 plus mile drive roundtrip. I rode over with my good friend Devin in his flatty powered 36 coupe. The bad news for Devin is he got sick while there, the good news is I got to drive home Got rained on a little south of Tacoma, but only Tmoney in his roadster was really feelin it Met up with fellow clubmate Eric in his 60 Poncho. Saw some good friends at the show, missed a lot of people not there though. The show was good, saw a lot of stuff that should not have been allowed in but I'm not gonna start that can-o-worms. Here we go: On I-5 at the hotel Went downtown Friday night, had our choice of parking out front
Russ won best of show....even though some people complained about it having billet??? I guess chrome, stainless steel and CAST aluminum is the new billet. Some people just dont get it Drivin home today, I love the PNW!!
Thanks for the great adventure Chris. I guess people think "no billet" and "rusty with no paint" are the same thing, eh! The mountain scenery shots, sure make me miss the annual trip we used to make to Moses Lake, when we raced drag boats.
WHAT!!!! I can't believe that fiberglass & billet barge called the "Takeout T" took Best of Show. Great photos Chris. It looks like everyone in the club had an awesome time.
great pic's! we saw you guys cruise by this morning while we were at H&E breakfast in fife at the casino. wish i would have had my camera to get a picture of the pickup going down I-5. the yellow 57' is a buddie of mines car, lots of fun.
Awesome pics Chris! The scenery on the way there is beautiful. Love this pick-up. This is hamber Myke's car. He's originally from around here, say hi for me next time you see him. [/QUOTE] Thanks for the pics.
Great pictures and story Chris. Thanks for the entertainment. Some really nice looking cars and trucks.
Good to see you guys made the drive over. All your cars are great and you guys get what a hot rod is. Russ deserves best of show at every show with that car and the green tub is awesome also. People need to quit buying ol school rods and pick up rodders journal that's all I am going to say.
Thanks a ton to the Emperors for making the trip over. There were a handful of cars that snuck in that shouldnt have been there, happens every year. 6-8 cars out of 600 aint bad. I always get at least one complaint every year about this or that car that shouldnt be in the show, but when someone pointed to the Take-Out T and said it shouldnt be there my jaw hit the ground. I've now heard it all. Normally I'm pretty nice to people that complain, but I laid into this guy. Probably not the best idea... but it just blew me away. Anyway... his not thinking it should be there and that it was a "high dollar, billet clad roadster" just meant he really doesnt get it. I hope Devin is OK... last I heard he was doing better.
I'm pretty sure these wheels are Boyds right? And the heads are just fake Billet flathead covers for the 350......What the fuck? That guy is apparently a silly bitch!
...Now I'm REALLY pissed the T decided to crap out on me! I would really liked to have had it there. Next year, I will be bringing the T for sure....will be a nice break-in road test before we head to Bonneville....
Man, anytime I see 'Emperors' in the title I always know it's going to be a legit post thanks for sharing!
