Thanks man . i didnt show it yet but i had to cut out quite a bit of the center of the seat suport on the bottom side so the seat would lay correctly , it will look stock from the top side but who ever has to sit in the middle of the seat is not going to have a confie ride  but o-well sacirfices had to be made somewhere :D

  9. Cody- WOW. I am flabberghasted. I have NEVER seen so much one-off work/parts on a car.... ESPECIALLY stuff you cant/wont see! Your attention to detail is PHENOMENAL. If this car is not in a magazine, I may go on an editor killing spree :) Guys 2.5 times your age ar BAFFLED at your skills my friend, as am I. I am not much older than you (30), but I know a TALENTED (flat-out fucking GIFTED!) individual when I see one. You are going places my friend.... Dont be suprised if the Chip Foose's and Troy Trepaniers of the world are beating YOUR door down for your help and ideas. Tell the boss (if you are not the boss) I said you need a raise, fucking pronto!

So only the person in the middle will know how much you had to take out of the seat! hahaha! I like that you take the time to do things no one will notice. Its the custom that you really have to study to find the details that really makes a custom fun to look atl!!

Wow thank you james , funny thing is everyone says on here that i have great and amazing ideas , when in fact about five years ago when i was working for the hot rod garage the one in denton MD, i was told my ideas wernt good and just do as im told like a robot or something so i took that as paying my dues and kept all my ideas bottled inside and my mouth shut , so finally i quit and became self employed as metal shaping /fabrication sub contractor , i float around from a couple different hot rod shops in the area doing a lot of sheat metal shaping and fab work which i love being my own boss and i dont have the overhead or all the stress of a regular business , the wagon was just spost to be a beater a swade paint and go but a lot of the ideas have been unloaded on this thing and it snowballed ,im verry pleased the way everything its turning out the only thing that is stumping me is the paint and i probly wont have it completly fugared out untile im ready to paint it . i quess thats what make it exciting , im verry thankful that the main shop i work at which my good friend chris ownes let me build the wagon there. with out him and a bunch of other people this build wouldn't have gotten as far as it has , they saw i had a dream and believed in me .

    so thanks again everyone

lol thanks man , yah i think the only way people are going to 100%notice everything about this car is threw the hamb :D

You'd probably have to be the only person in the world who looks forward to Mondays!
Although I guess I do too now, waiting for those updates! Haha.
You've definitely motivated me (as a 20 year old) keep up the awesome work!

More Monday updates guys , so today I took the rear bumper down to work to start fitting it to the car ,
    [IMG]
And of corse there were huge gaps and I couldn't leave things alone :D
    [IMG]
So I ended up taking a half inch off the one side .
So I tacked on the side part of the bumper and of corse the bumper sides looked too long so I shortned up the ends by 2 inches
    [IMG]
    Here's the untouched side
    [IMG]

All welded up and ground down

The rear bumper looks great with the fuel door/license indentation removed. The narrowing and shortening of the bumper will be noted by us '59 owners but it is so suttle it looks almost stock..........again, great work..........Mike

    The bumper looks really good.

Great progress being made, keep at it. The rest of us 59 owners are eagerly waiting for the next installment of pictures. :)

Maybe a silly question ... what is that in the trunk, that you're making room for? Is that an air tank?

The wagon is looking really impressive!

yep, there are a ton of "mild" changes that will have people looking the car over for along time trying to figure why it looks so good. Great idea on the bumper Cody. You seen to have no fear in getting after things to make then the way you want them to look. As much as I appreciate good restoration work, this is true artistry and takes it up a level, keep it up.
