looks brand new store bought .Did you pick and file and / or use a shrinking disk ? Or some other process?

Been to your shop and am truly amazed at your work. Your a inspiration to us all. The bad thing is we guys that like to do our own work cut you out of the process of making a living. Sorry about that.

 

wow amazing work. I did almost the same thing with the back section of my 35 5w. cut it of in the same place and made the same patch. mine wasn't as bad as yours but i had a lot of hammering on mine to, mine still has room for bondo. Thanks for sharing.

I use the shrinking disc primarily. I don't use a file cause it removes metal where the shrinking disc doesn't.

 

Ive got everything patched up and both pieces are ready to be put back together. But before I put them together I sprayed a self etching primer on the bare metal.

Anyone think there is a market for a fiberglass roadster rear clip to mate to the sedan front door post? Seems like a shame to cut up a 5 window.

 

You should see the piece of crap tudor shell I am gonna try and make into a 3 window ! .Wont be any fiberglass in it thats for sure !
