Wtf h.a.m.b.????

Im sorry, but there should not be more posts about pedal cars on here than posts about hot rods/tech threads/hot rod parts etc. This place is getting out of hand with OT crap. In the past 3 days I have seen more posts about 1986 cutlass'/coca-cola coolers/and pedal cars than the couple short years I have been on here. Am i the only one that thinks this way? Maybe I should tuck my tail and find another spot. Or maybe I should talk about my lawnmower or my cell phone since everything is fair game....as long as its got some pinstripes on it.

It looks like there were a lot of stroler/pedalcar Threads at the top because somebody saw the need to post the exact same pics on every pedalcar Thread he could find.

I deleted a couple that were low postcount ( appearently we have plenty of them anyway and on those, there were not a lot of Users that had invested in them by posting )

So that cleaned up the Main Board a bit.
And I moved this Thread to the Q & S Forum.

My opinion. Not that it matters, that picture of the little girl in the pedal car with the lights and the police car behind her is just plain classic.#32 on that pedal car thread.

I don't have a teeny kid any more , mine is all grown up, looks to me as if the guys are promoting the cause to the next generation.

FWIW, I support the pedal car thread.

 

I see alot of threads showing HAMBer's kids doing this or that, and that's cool, i just think it would go over better on facebook, sharing with your friends.

 

I dont have a problem with anything I mentioned in my original post...(even pre 64 lawnmowers ) but there has got to be a time and place for everything, and my opinion is that the H.A.M.B. isnt the place for things of that nature.

...........but i honestly could care less because i have a facebook...prob the leading website in shit that i really dont wanna read..so reading about a pinstriped pre 64 lawn mower actually sounds pretty cool!

 

My popcorn just got done poping so I grabbed it and headed to the HAMB. Clicked new posts and this popped up.

I happen to agree with you 100%. i just don't understand the philosophy anymore. There are tons of threads no where near traditional hotrodding and the real ones down and off the page. Periodically, the mods will delete or move something, but it seems really capricious. It's Ryan's site and he can allow anything he wants, but I find myself spending less and less time here because it's just too time consuming to search through the crap for the gold nuggets.

 

I think a few OT threads here and there about some car guy related stuff (gas pumps, garages, coke machines and pedal cars) never hurts anything. Sometimes it's fun to see what other people are working on besides their cars. Since we are all for the most part like minded on this site, it's cool to see what other traditional hot rod guys are doing.

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought that. Of course, there were two weeks when I was overseas without computer access. I guess what I am really doing is spending more time during fewer log-ins?, but there are still too many things I just scroll on past.
