Folks Of Interest Eric Doran Memorial Cruise and car show

I'm sure most of you remember the post about my friend Eric Doran being killed in his model A roadster pick up while driving to Santa Maria - Thread here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=593577


We are putting together a memorial cruise and car show for our friend Eric Doran and hope to get as many cars, bikes, customs, hot rods, exotics, off roaders, VWs to join us for a cruise up PCH and then a back lot car show behind his restaurant. You see, Eric loved all things motorized and he would want as many people as possible to come and hang out.

His memorial services were for "family only" and all his buddies did not get to go so we are having a send-off of our own.

It will not cost anything and it will be a cashual morning so tell your friends and come out and join us. PM me if you need more info.

The paddle out* in Newport Harbor followed by the tatoo shop visit was a real fitting tribute as well. Obviously a really well liked guy who will be missed.




*for those who are land locked, a Paddle Out is when a group of surfers paddle out in the water in formation as a tribute to a fallen surfer friend.

Hey Ryan or Jeff, Can you sticky this for me for a while? I want to get the word out to all the loacal guys that knew Eric and even people that didn't. This is open to ALL.

I want to have a proper send off for my buddy and there is nothing he would have liked more than a huge parade of cars and people outside his palace.

 

Looking to get a head count...let me know if you can make it.

Hey guys, I figured out a nice route for the cruise. We will meet at "Eat Chow" (Eric and partner Brian's) restaurant at 9:00 am on Sunday and cruise north on Pacific Coast Highway to Seal Beach and then back to the restaurant where there will be some free food and drinks. The cruise route will take about 1 hour. I will hand out maps/instructions the morning of the event.

Please tell your friends and come out for the morning. I hope to have a big turn out to hoor our Friend Eric Doran.

This is a free event. Nobody is charging or selling anything so show up and hang out for a bit.

I wish I could go John,but we have the swapmeet that day, we did that almost same cruise on Memorial Day and its beautiful. When we past by where the turnoff is for his resturant, I gave him a prayer and a rev of the engine.

 

I want to bump this to the top!!!!!!!!!!

 

John, Bob n I put flyers in all the cars at The Shifters show last Sat., Hopefully it got the word out a little further!See u Sunday
