Here are a few for you to view. All are unique. the new one on the dyno is a new Chevy 4300 six with O/H cams. It has a lot of promise. Right now Self Racing in Durant, OK is doing a lot of evaluating of this engine for future racing use. They say they are getting 350+ HP ratings on an engine dyno.

Here is my 235 with a 216 side cover now installed, now if it would not require too much disassembly it would get painted the original 216 color. Maybe over a winter when I get bored I will pull the front sheetmetal and get it repainted.

Here are some pix of the 235 modified mill in the "Hoodlum" speedster built by xderelict of the South Omaha Turds. Sorry they are a little dark, but so are we! Note the honespun Chevrolet valve cover and the awesome dual circular motion vintage Thickston two pot intake manifold, dubbed "the dogbone". ~sololobo~ btt please

Parts to make that mill more user friendly are in continuous development. Here's the first rear sump pan:

How did you mate the T5 to the 292? Did you need an adapter?

Looks awesome and I think I am going to go that route for my 41 Chey coupe.

I have never seen a dual 2 bbl intake for a six before and does anyone know if a single 2 bbl intake was ever made since dual 2 bbls would be a little too much for a stock 235.

My dads 36 p/u runs a similar edmunds with '41 buick carters. The 216 runs sweet without progressive linkage. These old sixes love lots of carburation. My 235 runs lean with dual rochesters and it is mostly stock with a mild 261 cam. gmc ran a single 2 bbl. (oem). fabed up a landcruiser intake for a guy with a 235. it ran a 2bbl weber.

I have seen three differnt styles of these 2x2 for chevy. One with script of edmunds, one that has block letters edmunds custom and smooth, and one like the one you have with the edmunds custom that intersects.

I believe the one you have is the 2nd series, the first was the plain block letters and the latest was the script type.

the plain block one has the water tube in the center of the manifold. The other one has script and looks similar to yours.

I believe that you can run stromberg 48s and get the carb down if you think it is too much for you engine. Some one else said that 94s were better??? even so, total cfm is like 400 with two carbs.(even with 97s)

Here's my t-bucket with it's Chevy 235. Single Rochester carb, single exhaust manifold, basically stock with a few changes for appearance.

Just waiting to get the flywheel back - plan on installing it in the next couple of days.

  30. Just put a set of Langdon's Carter/Weber 2bbl carbs on my 235. Replace my old Rochesters, which after 13 years of reliable performance were starting to leak a LOT. Offy intake, Fenton headers, Langdon HEI and hot water heat plate under the intake.
