    The okie bowl, wow. That track has been around since the 40s, I believe. I saw midget races there in the early 50s and saw some good ones in the early 90s. It has not changed much. The beer cup tip is experience talking.:D

    And that's exactly what I'm doing. Just wanted a couple of things to go and do when I get there rather than sitting in a dirt lot for hours waiting to see if the muppet turns up. Plan on "dropping by" all afternoon till I find him....

    Any way we'll see what happens.....looks like I'll be well fed by the time I'll find him.....

    Woolgrowers is good eating. Be sure that your hungry when you go, they really pile it on there.

    Hey, I remember when my buddies and I went to the first Bakersfield Fuel & Gas drags. Got a room in Wasco, and one of the guys went to see an old flame in Shafter. Those were memorable hot spots near Bakersfield.

  6. Goin tubing down the wonderful Kern River today with another hamber and fellow model A club member. Oakie Bowl is not running tonight Scott or else I would be there tonight like every saturday night. Dirts in my blood.-Weeks

    I had an Old Flame is Wasco, I would usually take her to Shafter.
    But sometimes I would just Shafter in Wasco :)

    or the " big burrito" at andrea's. (try to stay near a bathroom for awhile afterwards to see how it set's) yes woolgrowers on 19th. alot of antique stores on 19th. hodels is a must. buck's place is good, i havent gone now that he's gone though.

    i just remembered, Andre's Drive in... very tasty food there, havent ate their since i became a health nut, but it was good when i was a kid
