Nice to see it saved from the RR world. I still do not get why those were cool. I prefer cars to be more finished than the beverly hillbillies.

  2. "Cool"..they weren't, they're not..I agree about it being saved though.

You know, I like that spade between the seats, it shows some craftsmanship, and it draws the eye to the center of the seats, sort of a defining artifact. Just don't go crazy with them!

...and you've done a wonderful job on this car, by the way!

Well I guess it's time to put this one to bed, I have finished the car(at least as far as I am going to) I love the car for sure, however I really want to start over and build something that suits me better. I think this will be a great car for the new owner(yup you read that right) I am wanting a rod that is a little more refined, I have made the pilgrimage to Bonneville a couple of times and like longer trips, while this car is a hoot around the local area, I would liken it to a hard tail Harley, it fun in small doses. I am excited with how the car turned out and I have leaned a ton building it I just feel it is time to take the next step.
Thank you all for the help and encouragement while building and rebuilding this car. Selling it has afforded me some new equipment that will make my next rod more substantial and better engineered (ordering a new plasma cam) I have been collecting the components for my next build which will be a 36 Chevrolet pickup, It will have a full tube chassis, I have drilled a 40 ford axle, and assembled f1 brakes. Also a ford 9" has been purchased, I have rebuilt a Muncie m21 and have a 327 currently getting rebuilt for the build. I am hoping to build an "all around" hot rod good for traveling, shows, and some bracket racing. My wife and I have a baby on the way and are currently moving to a larger house, once settled I'll start a new thread on the build.
Well enough rambling, here are some final pictures

This was definatly a day of mixed emotions, and a view I thought I would never see. I'm sure this is some thing that will carry some regret but will help me get to where I want to go.

The car should be in south carolina by now, the new owner is going to finish the removable hard top portion, I hope he enjoys it as much as I have.
