  1. Here it is folks....
    ''Oskarr''
    The educated horse vacuum guage!
''Oskarr'' saves 10-20% petrol Hows this for a crazy 50's vacuum guage. A heap of these new old stock novelty vacuum gauges hit the Australian collectors market recently. Some one must of found a couple of dozen boxes of them in an old warehouse somewhere and its no wonder there were plenty of them left, who would buy something so f**kin stupid?
They were on ebay for as much as $270. Thats the price of stupid ,dumb, funny automobilia I guess. Its almost as funny as some Chinese assembly instructions I have tried to read. Then, theres another thread!:D

I've got one of those Lubricators like the one on the right...Paid $20 for it...complete never installed. I have it mocked up on my 52 Pontiac. How old is that one, and what's something like that worth? Never seen another complete one until now...Cool

What engine are those bolts for?
Could you scan the instructions separately? I'd sure like to read what they have to say.

"Insure your bearings for 50,000 miles" - that sounds like Model T era performance.

That Oskarr is cool! MAD MAX should have had one and when he switched on the blower we'd see Oskarr blow to pieces :p

  19. Congratulations AA/Fuel34fordpu on being a proud owner of a genuine Aussie ''Oskarr'', he will do you proud at any car show!

Alternate Caption: - "Not wanting to be outdone by
the local 'ricer kids' and wanting maximum 'bling'
effect for his ride, Bill outfitted his brand new Model
A with with the latest in trendy wheel & tire combos
    - notably, these slick new Chinese-made, 34-inch
    diameter 'mag wheels' and super-low-profile.
205/10/34 tires! Unfortunately, the wheels and tires
cost more than his entire new Model A did, and even
with the 'E-Z Payment' credit plan from the finance
company, Bill was forced to wait and save up to
buy the prerequisite 5-inch 'fart can' exhaust tip,
the 'JDM', 'Nokia' and 'No Fear' decals. the
    super-loud 'multi-horn Edison in-car Gramaphone'
sound system and the adjustable rear wing - all
things that he needed to have before he could ever
    be considered 'really cool'!

Two that fascinate me are the MoPar "Highway Hi-Fi" from the late '50s, plus "wheel-sanders" that mounted in the trunk to dispense sand in icey waether. I have never even SEEN on of the latter (later-'40s/early-'50s). If anybody has a pic or two, I'd be obliged!

heres some vintage curb feelers with a drawing of a 1949 Chevrolet on the package. paid way too much ($46.00) on ebay for them, just for that little Chevy on the box.

I have the same exact pair on my 61 dodge. they were on the car when I got it.
