I like 'em both but if given the choice, I would take the '33 over the '34 just because of the slightly more swoopy grille and matching hood-side louvers. Small potatoes though as either one makes for a beautiful car......Don.
'34s by a long shot! Back in time, I'm told by old timers that if you didn't have '34 sheet metal, it just wasn't a hot rod. The world seemed to bare that statement out until Boyd and all those guys started putting '33 sheet metal on everything about '78 or so. Since then most of these cars have been built as '33s... Prior to that, check the old mags, everything wore '34 sheet metal. I love that chunkier grill!
That's the toughest choice in my book. Love them both, but as already said, I'd give the nod to the '33 for the little extra "swoop" at the bottom of the grill. I'd take either if you're handing them out!
I have always preferred the '34, primarily for the grille. However, they both make very good looking cars.
I'll take a 33 over a 34 just because of the grille and curved hood louvers but I am satisfied owning a 34... LOL
And there are HUNDREDS of differences. I have owned em both and love em both. My favorite years of Ford bar non!
That 1934 little metal piece at the rear of the window openings is the place the windows jack back under when using the airvent feature of the window regulator.
`33 for me on this one......I love the front of the hood where it turns down to meet the grill shell....it seems more "bare bones" than the `34..the `34 is nice, but it`s just a bit too nice compared to the `33. (same goes for the 39deluxe,40 standard....they should have left it there...the 40 deluxe looks like a Meerkat wearing glasses when viewed head on )
...That's an interesting description. I also prefer the cleaner look of the '39 Deluxe/ '40 Standard. Now back to the '33 vs. '34 debate......Don.
interesting deal on '39 deluxe and forty standard... I have always felt the same way. Grew up riding in my dad's '40 deluxe, bought a '39 deluxe when it was my turn...
