have you ever looked at your hot rod a just wanted to change it up alittle? my 32 coupedeville has been together for four years now and i always had painted 16" steelies and black wall 4.50 and 7.00. i had a set of 50 merc chrome reverse wheels and white walls with cheater slicks for my 32 kopper krate ( 32 fordor sedan turned into 5w coupe) . i decided to put the chromies on my coupedeville and what do you know they look good. what do you think? a change of wheels does alot for a car. now i just need to find some tires for my 15 x 4 and 15 x8 torq thrusts and get some pics of it. anyone else have some pics of there ride with different wheel and tire combo to change it up?

3rd pic looks like late 40s or very early 50s.

now it looks late 50s very early 60s.

If it also had shiney paint and chromed headers, it would look like an Autorama build from then

Funny you should say that cause I think the guy that owns this car does too:D:D:D

Drew you should come up to the Relix Riot Aug 20th at the Gilmore Museum outside of Battle Creek. Straight shot up 69 ( thats what she said ) and about 10 miles west.

Oh Yeah the Chrome wheels look *****in!!!!!!

  6. Loved your car at billetproof and enjoyed talking with you.

As much as I loved your car then, I'm a firm beliver that everything looks better with chrome reverse wheels.

I totally feel you on wanting to change things up a little. Probably going to change a few small things on my coupe soon too. That being said, I really like your coupe better with the painted steelies and black walls....:D

i think the chrome wheels and white walls are perfect for it, to me it fits the overhead motor, lately the whole 16" wheels with blackwall with an overhead motor has been bothering me, overheads=whitewalls! or overheads=chrome wheels with blackwalls and slicks!

    my opinion.

That's cool. Same car with two different personalities, based on the wheels.

  13. looks good but i prefer it with the blackwalls. but then it'd look ****-hot with the torque thrusts, cheaters with the whitewalls turned in and a set of blackwalls on the front. JMO

Blackwalls = driver, WWW and chrome = constant cleaning, but that's just my opinion.

  16. Ive always thought all hot rods should have two or three diffrent sets of wheels. Its quick to swap them around, changes the car totally, and keeps your friends guessing. :D

    I like it both ways.:)

Theres an old hot rodder that lives down the street from me and he has three different sets of wheels for everyone of his cars so when he gets tired of one look he can change it to another

I agree it's often overlooked, but an easy way to change your car's look is by the wheel and tire combo. Your coupe looks really good with the new shoes. It wakes it up and gives it a lot more life! The chrome wheels and white walls really suit your car. Rad!

Louie's roadster looks *****in' with it's wheels changed around as well!

Looks great! I too have two sets of wheels and tires for my 40. It's a good way to change things up when you've owned your car for a while and you need to shake things up a little!

I dig both wheels! Thats a hard decision. I say run one set for a summer then switch to the other set the next.
