If that's it in your picture, I can't wait to see it! Speaking of pictures, I am heading out there agian tonight. Later guys!
It is.. It is.. A lot going on. Plus, I'm tired of body work. I just want to get it running. So, I got to save up the money so that I can buy a motor and ect.
Tomorrow is the last day of school!! Then I have all summer to build this thing!! Body work isn't so bad after a little break from it! Can't wait to get started!!
The rust repair is looking good man. The more you do the better they get, now get back out there and get this thing goin!
UPDATE!!! Alright, been spending a lot of time with my girlfriend, and cruising around with my best friend, and work so I can get a motor and tranny for this thing, plus more patches, but I figure it's time for a big update! Finally getting the truck tore apart for sanding and painting!!! But first!!! A big thanks to chaddilac!! He does amazing work!! Now for the updates! Pulling parts! My poor interior that needs a lot of work.. Thats all for now!! More maybe tomorrow!
I love your build and the fact that you are so young and dont mind getting dirty. I wish I had someone to help me when I was younger. i am 26 now and I am slowly learning.
Building cars is my favorite hobby!! I like to just sit around the older car guys and listen to them tell there how-to's and tips Sweet truck dude More progress later! I've been spending a lot of time with my girlfriend, but I finally got my fender stripped and primed! Pics later tonight!
My paint stripping/cleaning/painting tools Primed fender! A good friend of mine was amazingly nice and gave me a I6 motor and 350 tranny!!! But the motor is just scrap weight..
Today My girlfriend and I Got the fender shot in a baby blue And we tore the motor apart to see if anything was savable, unfortunately it's not.. but it was free and I am going to scrap and keep tthe money and I might be getting anouther one!! Pics tomorrow!!
Pictures from yesterday/today!: First off, we painted the fender a babyblue to see what it would look like, and to keep it from rusting Then, we tore the motor apart to see if it was salvageable.. Unfortunately... And today! I beat out some dents and sanded it down smooth to get it ready for bondoing and final primer!! That's all for today, I have to get the hardener for the bondo sometime so I can do that..
truck is looking pretty good , did your friend store that engine at the bottom of a frog pond some where ?
Forget about bondo it's too hard to sand, I like Rage gold filler. It's a bit pricey but worth it for the time and the elbow you'll save. P.S. shiny purple is for PT Cruisers.
Thank you very much! And to tell you the truth, I asked myself the same question! Haha Haha ^^^ That's funny! Hopefully my girlfriend doesn't see that.. She'll kick my butt! She loves purple. And thank you for your advice!!!
Alright! I've been busy.. Working, and helping out friends.. Anyway, I got the Hardener for the bondo! But.. Have been busy working on this model from 1955, it's a 1956 cadillac 4 seater cut down to a 2 seater, still have plenty of work... But took a break from that to do my hood, but ran out of sand paper half way threw... Luckily, my dad is amazing and sold out 54 Oldsmobile to help me finish this truck for when I turn 16 about 3 months
No working on the truck for a while.. Kind of wrecked a motorcycle.. After getting home from the hospital
Dude, sorry about your wipeout on the bike, been there done that, just stick to cars and truck from now on Hope you get to feeling better. Gary
