Event Coverage Bad Bob's-"King-of-Clubs" pic's (2011)

Miguel has been inviting me to this event for years now,and something ALWAYS comes up,and I have to cancel. NOT THIS YEAR!!!! JustplainJ and I met up for breakfast(IHOP...boysenberry syrup!!!)and headed toward SanDiego for ,what turned out to be,a great drive! 15 to the 8 to the 67 into the mountains,then just passed the HUGE Hotel...we were there!!!
What a fun event! Thanks,Miguel,for the invite and the great show!!! We are already discussing,making it a weekend trip next year,and camping out.

How was the weather? Your pictures are making me wish I had gone. I thought it was going to be in the 100's.

 

Bob or anyone on here, what was the cut off year for running a car. I wanted for my son to go in his O/T car to the HAMB. However by the photo's I see, theres some later model cars that I was told could not run.

 

Some how Bob always finds a pic of a bug to throw in...HAHAHA

 

The Beatniks had a little camp set up,trackside. I walked by and said HI,but Jack and Franco looked at me like "who the fuck is that",hahah!

What a great day. nice weather and some nice cars. your truck and bike are awesome bob. i saw you a bunch of times and was going to introduce myself but you were always talking to somebody haha. oh well, next time i guess.

and Johnny gee i thought the cutoff was 63' but there were a few fox body mustangs running and even a new chrysler 300.

Exactly, wanted to enter as the Crusaders Club racecar. It's a 70 Nova set up in late 70's early 80's style.

There were all kinds of cars running,but only the older cars were allowed to compete for the King-o-Clubs trophy. The newer cars that were there were just making passes...

 

damn bob you need to start a "where's Bob gonna be" group just so we know what's going on show wise .
