Oh man, you were about to kill me with that one before you said you were kidding... Way too many SBC powered rods and on top of that billet and digital anything need to be as far away as possible. I honestly don't know which way I'd go with it. But I'd probably end up chopping it a few inches, ditching the fenders, throwing on some whitewalls wrapped around red wheels with chrome baby moon hubcaps, throwing in an MEL with triple Strombergs, reupholstering it with red and white leather, and throwing some huge cheater slicks on the back end. And of course hydraulic brakes and a 9" with a Detroit Locker.

I like this, but I would definitely replace those fenders, preferrably with nice originals. C'mon... that car deserves it. I love it!

Very nice score. hmmm....over-chop it, MIG weld globs all over it and paint it flat black.

    :)

  4. Great find!

Please don't cut it up - but juice brakes, a little altitude adjustment and a 59ab would be the cats ass...

  6. I am happy for you. Maaaannn! What a find!!! Do the safety stuff like brakes and then clean er up. Drive it like you stole it and be proud to wear a $h!t eating grin:D

  7. If you do hot rod it later, something similar to this would be what I would shoot for. Good barn/garage find and whatever you do, drive it and have fun.

  8. Nice find! Do what YOU want to do with it. It's YOURS! :)

Id just replace those fenders, give it a good tune up (brakes and idle/carb adjustment mainly) and enjoy it. Such nice original shape..

  11. OUTRAGEOUS.....Just goes to show you that there are still cars of this caliber to be found and should be always looking...I have been for at least 50 years , all I find is crap !.....You should hook up with Faith Grainger ....In spite of all the experts here at modification.....do what you want...its just a old Ford...Too many Hot rodded 32s allready, nice to see one thats not all f---d up...good luck...great car kid...do us proud , we are watching.

Thanks for all the comments! You guys are making making feel even luckyer than I used to!

I was looking thru the parts pile and found a ton of new and used spark plugs. All the used ones had notes on them as to when they were intalled and removed and cleaned, etc. Looks like he would put new plugs in for winter, then put old ones back in for summer. The notes go up to 1968, so he must have drove it from 32 - 68.

It's unusual, isn't it, for someone to say they have a 33 and it turns out to be a 32 Ford. Normally they say they have a 32 Ford and it turns out to be a 34 Plymouth 4 door or something like that.

Ya know... much as it would make a hell of a hot rod...

An original paint, original interior 32? Yeah, I'm with the "Don't do a damned thing to it except for service it" guys.

Incredible find! Get it safe, ditch those headlights, and drive it. If you get the itch later, rod it out a little, but I think it would be a shame to hack it up.

    That is a coincidence!

I put a short vid of it driving on youtube. I think it sounds pretty good.

  28. Wow! ... Cool story! ... I guess they are "Still Out There"!

If you're not gonna Hot Rod it, then at least replace those ??? bumpers with a pair of Deuce bumpers ... change out the funky headlamps with some stock lenses ... and repair or replace those fenders.

  29. Huh?
