Well here it is. My 50 F-1, I've takin it for a few rides and it does pretty good. I need to get the steering arm bent down, the drag link is at a pretty funky angle got a little bit of bump steer. Other than that I get a lot of thumbs up. Cant wait to get the front clip on. This winter I'll work on getting the rear end down a little bit.
Cool truck, the bed and rear fenders look great. Its going to look super when you finish putting the front clip on!
Hello from a fellow F1-er! I tell ya, I've owned a lot of cars over the years, but my '48 F1 is my all time favorite. Have a great time with your truck!
If your not going to do any hauling and if it has the second spring pack under it (The helper springs) you can remove them and drop the back down about the thickness of the pack. Truck looks good. I must have done over 30 of them for myself and customers. Have a 1948 in the planing stage right now.
Another friend gave me another truck! (a '52 F-1) I am Changing the front sheet metal to '48. (another friend helped me out!) I was going to change the rear cab sheet and window, but my wife said just leave the wide one in there...(conversation starter) I love these trucks too. Like Charley says: 'All the cool kids have 'em'.
