Sure looks pretty Tim. You are building a beautiful truck. Hope it goes a good as it looks. Wish we could be at Bonneville when it runs. Take lots of pictures, we're with you in spirit!:D

what kind of exhaust and muffler is going on? this thing would be a sick ass sleeper!!

  11. Funny you should ask, I didn't show it but just last night I welded some flanges on the headders so I can run mufflers. I was just going to leave them open, I still will when running the course, but for the street I just got some cheep Summit flowmaster type. They still give it quite a rummble but tone it down a bit. It's ready to drive so I may post a little video tonight running down the street. ;)

    Well, where's the video??!!

  17. Last night wasn't a good night. Had a few problems, nothing real bad, but you know when you have everything lined out that you want to get done and at the end of the evening none of it seems to be done. That was last night. Things look better this morning though.

  18. Here's alittle video just went around the block. It's not as loud with the mufflers (duh) but I don't want to open it up and piss off the nieghbors. I'll have a good test run out at the airport maybe next week. ;)

In that video I really think that you have the ultimate sleeper..... Well minus the cage!

    Good work sir!

Is that a Triumph Herald I see nestled in the garage?

    Looks awesome, sounds awesome!

  25. OK! Today was very productive although when you see the few things that were done you may wonder why it took all day. Well it's Saturday and I don't work that hard. :p Seriously it does take a bit of time to do the small stuff, I spent 3 hours just puting the doors together. Doors were the beginning of the day, new weather stripping and "anti-rattle" kits with windows and tint.

Also what my wife calls "ironing boards" (Door panels)

I also added more padding to the cage and plumbed the fire extinguishers.

    One nozzel for me.

    and two for the engine.

How come the engine gets more than me?

All in all a very good day, getting closer all the time. Might even be able to take Elwood to the Eagle Field "Lions Club Drags" next week if I get it all done. :D

Truck looks great...I may be wrong, but the 2 roadsters Ive been part of had to have the nozzles down low by your knees basically..now obviously they dont have a roof... the concern is if you need to use it, Its may impair your vision..not that theres a lot to hit out there... haha Just a concern..I remember the tech advisers Ive dealt with specified specific locations...I also do not have a current rule book, and am not familiar with truck specs...oh and my old rule book says you cannot have the nozzles and lines primarily held by hose clamps

GREAT LOOKIN' TRUCK !!! Your sense of vision is excellent. You saw it in your mind's eye and carried it through. Can't wait to see it with bed cover. How will you handle fresh air to the carb? Excellent work, it could only be fast.

  28. I'll have to go back and check, the "brick" used hose clamps.

I set off my fire bottle once when the smoke got out of hand. Learned to wait for flames and that those parts of me in a direct line to the nozzle were going to get covered with frost. Using 1301 Halon. May or may not be good to point it at your visor.
