Nice work Kev! Every '55 gasser thread is see gets me all excited to start mine! I like the stance of the car.
Looks sweet. I like how you cut the frame after the gearbox, seems like alot less work that way than trying to remount another gearbox/column. Thats why I did mine like that anyway.
Windshield was broken. But I saved the carpet for you and working on the white headliner too. Call me.
Why? 'cause it's too nice? Big John Mazmanian had nice cars. Why can't mine be period correct? What makes it NOT?
Sorry no MOKAN. Won't be ready. Need to buy chrome. Oh wait, that's not period correct. I have to use my old crusty junk chrome. heheh
Robert, I have been waiting for the start of the updates, really pleased to see that you are getting there. And to think this all came about because a wheel fell off! Kev, I aspire to have the skills that you and Langy posses, if ever there was a driver to get out in the garage and practice my welding this is it. Keep the updates coming, looking forward to seeing the finished item. P.
Really cool car I love it! But just a couple of issues. #1 dump the single pot master cylinder. #2 the calipers look like they are on upside down, shouldn't the hose be on the top? Maybe it is just the angle of the photo.
Agree on point #1 but fairly certain that you would want the bleed nipple at the top so the hose should be at the bottom... Stand to be corrected if I am wrong. P. Edit. Must type faster.....
Looks Killer Robert! Is the 55 gonna see some track time when your all done with it? Maybe CHRR or Mooneyes?
Hey Kev......I'm diggin the lace treatment on the roof....very nice touch....well done! Robert.......it's really looking great......congrats!
Wish I could weld like that. Great work as always Kev. So, is Rob's car gonna beat Vic's for completion? (LOL)
Kev knows what he's doing, the bleeder needs to be on top. Ever try to fill a bucket with water if it has a hole in the bottom? You end up with a bucket full of air. Just like you will with your bleeder at the bottom. Looks good,Kev,as always.
If it was Big John's car, then it would be. But please don't worry about what I say, it's a beautiful car, and it should be a lot of fun. It's good to see you're doing everything right. That wasn't always the case in the old days.
are those the fenderwell headers from speedway as well? whats the width on the axle kid from speedway? thanks david
