  3. Looks like the work of Bill Crowell of SF. Where did the George Barris built info come from?

im just trying to get info because the guy is selling it for 8 grand ,

  13. It is a 50s Hot Rod, I doubt Barris had anything to do with it more then likely it was customized by Bill Crowell as i stated above. $8000 is a reasonable price, especially for a unique rod like that.

  14. 8 grand........man, get on that if you like the style.
Keep bumping this post someone has to have some info on it.

My vote is that it was the guy who did the half-sectioned '32s also...and $17,000 in, let's say 1955, would be roughly $137,000 today...which I highly doubt anybody would have paid back then...it's kind of weird in my opinion...but who am I?

Anybody else wanna punch the guy in the video in the face for being an asshole tearing things apart ?

  17. do my eyes deceive me or does that thing have a ghastly late model A-Arm front suspension?

    ...the horror...

    neat car notwithstanding.

I was kind of wondering why he didn't unscrew the window molding and pull the door handle and window crank off before tearing into that. Also, why do we want to watch him drive around for fifteen minutes looking for cardboard. I am not trying to be a dick...just think it's kind of funny.

But no, I don't want to punch him.

  20. 'IF' the guy in the video has info on how much was spent on it, then he must have other info on it........like pics and who paid this amount of cash for the modifications!
As Jimmy has put those pics up it leaves me with little doubt the same guy did that car, but then the guy who found it says Barris did it......i think the guy was just making stuff up.
Again, this car would have been finished at one point and it would have stood out like dogs balls on a goldfish..........some pics/info will surface.

  21. Just someone get it out of the hands of that dipshit!

    Doc.

It might have been done by Solomon Barris ... the $17k mentioned is probably Israeli Shekels.

If you go ask George Barris...he will tell you he built it and if you believe him he will give you a Barris Crest to put on the fender. I cant stand George...Sam is probably turning over in his grave.

It does look like a late model front suspension. I know for sure 33/34 Plymouths had a crude independent not a straight axle. I myself am not a fan of the 1/2 section.. my 2 cents
