    Thanx for the compliment...

Actually the material is relatively cheap...uhmmm...ehr...make that inexpensive...available from upholstery supply houses in several colors...and it's actually made for automobile interiors, so it'll stand up against the sun...

IF you ask nice and not ever, ever never lump all of us HAMBers into the "you guys ****" group, I may be able to tell you who the manufacturer and name of the material is...!!!

fair enough:) may I please gain access to the knowledge of affordable awesome insert material whereabouts sir:)

the reason I gave the insult is I have found that when I bump a question a couple of times and still get no response if I give out a random insidious statement I find that I get a quick response to my original question.

    rediculous? yes...

    effective? yes...

Oh yeaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Yeah the back windows could be a ***** but if somebody could pull that off with longer doors from a 2 Dr. Hdtp. WOW. GM missed the boat there. What were the Merc wagons like that called? Always thought those were damn cool.

stock grille, only using outside headlights and bar inserts vs. 60 merc grill, fender skirts ad '59 caddy tail light lenses, radir flat spoke wheels.

Awesome, looking forward to seeing what you do with an early 60s custom. Does this come before or after the merc?

it comes before the merc as it is currently a running driving vehicle. Paint, grille, wheels, tires and possibly and engine/trans swap will be done before good guys hopefully.

I am shooting for a driver quality version of the McPhailane as a wagon :)

No way, just curious. I am in no position to call anyone out. :D

That is definitely a good example to shoot for. When does the wagon make its way to NC?

NICE! I will be down Wednesday, we can start plotting out the Donk suspension you were talking about. Since You are talking purple and pink I am think NERDS candy would be the perfect paint scheme.

It has been done before but I think we can execute it much better. And of course no lambo doors, I mean we are trying to keep things cl***y right?

i had one a few yrs ago. i added a third tailight to each side from a parts car. then did away with the bullit lenses and used flat ones from the hardware store. that way when you down the tailgate you want bust the lenses. sorry no pics.

Wheel/tire comb? Simply smooth out the hood, handles and mirrors. Picking the color wil really make or bake a mild custom wagon. Factory tinted gl***? Lowered static or bag/lay frame? Era perfect or a mix of yesterday and today?

    Im not I love em:)

but thats for a different thread!

it is already bagged, doesnt lay rocker, is about 2" away.

I would love 100% spot on but most likely it will be a mix of sorts.

no easy eye tint, chrome reverse steelies with maybe a set of 8.20 14" good year super cushions, those may be too big though, I'll have to see.

I have a set of chrome reverse steelies with www radials that I can get but I am going to avoid radials if it can be helped...

and yea shaved hood and door handles.

Do any of that on a wagon and that would be cool. Simple lowering, scallops, fogging, wheels with white walls (needless to say...because there are some who don't), spinner caps or chrome reverse rims and you are automatically in coolsville. But whatever you do....DONT chop it. Chopping destroys the proportions of all late great chevys.

The taillights in the blue two door '60 look like '59 Pontiac's...but I can't tell for sure...
