PHOTOS: Goodguys PUYALLUP Pacific Northwest NATIONALS - - - I LOVE This EVENT!!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love the event in Puyallup! The area is great, the cars are killer and the people are awesome! If I had to pick a favorite on the Goodguys schedule, Puyallup would be it.

I didn't hang out as much at night this year as I normally do, so I missed running into some of you, but I did see LOTS of you at the event.

I'd have to say that the Puyallup event has more traditional cars per capita than pretty much any other Goodguys event. Car count was near record level and I think spectators were a record.

The weekend started off with a cool poker run. I hopped in with Boones and his lovely wife who would not let me sit in the back seat. The stops were killer "car guy" stops.

The Friday Night Drags were the biggest yet!

Hung out a LOT with Jeff, Marcy (my oldest {not in age} hot rod friend) and Billy!

 

This lady made two of these purses. Pretty cool to see that someone went to the trouble to do something like that.

Another Kustom of the Year Finalist. The 84 year old owner and his wife could not have been nicer and more thankful.




I'm not an Elvis fan, and especially not an Elvis impersonator fan, but this guy, Danny Vernon, puts on a killer show. He does a flawless Elvis without being cheesy (I didn't think that was possible) and he's funny.












What happens in Puyallup, stays in Puyallup.

Thanks for the look Kirk, we didn't make it over there this year and it looks like we missed some great cars and a great time.

How I miss Seattle! To me the two best parts of Puyallup have always been the Friday night drags and watching everyone roll into the fairgrounds late Thursday night. Always a great show.
