Hey Butch, like your falcon. My first car was a '64 Falcon Futura Convertible. Wish I had it today, but I think I'd prefer a hardtop like yours. And by the way, you're not the only one with the picture issue, my posts are always the thumbnails as well.

Very nice 65 Butch,with the roll bars and them rear tires I bettin there is something under the hood.

My bad I thought those were 65 tailights....

 

Done right: 1961 Deluxe Tudor with a turbocharged, 300ci "big block" Ford six. Very cool, but sadly very few will ever realize how much work it must have been to shoehorn that big six into the Falcon engine bay.

I think this car ended up in a swamp along I-96 after the FCA Nationals in Dearborn last summer.

Ihave just bought this, 66 Australian bodied Falcon. Built using U.S roof, floorpan & door frames from the Falcon/Comet range 63-65.

 

65 tailights 64 grill ...nice car

The last issue of the FCA magazine I received has an article written by the owner of a stock-looking, light-blue '61 Deluxe Tudor with a 300. He says he drove from Minnesota for the Nationals, but failed to change out some worn out tires. Two or three of them blew out on the trip and the last time he was unlucky enough to lose control and end up in a pond along 96.

The car looked very repairable, but it was kind of a shame. It did spur me to not be such a cheapskate about tires anymore, though.

I can't believe there are too many 300-powered '61s running around.

There is such an array of cool customs.

I've attached some pics of my 66 XR Falcon Ute I built back in the late 90's. It was 302 Windsor, C4, 8" 3.25 diff. Sultan Maroon was the factory colour for that period on the sedans. I sold this car and now resides in Geelong Victoria. Enjoy.

I am currently in the planning stages of another rebuild. I have a 64 Aussie Sedan Delivery which is sitting as a shell in my shed. It's going to be a high budget build with a lot of very interesting features.

 

This is my van as it sits now. I just got a quote on my engine -$26k! which gives an idea on what this thing will be like when finished. It doesn't look like much at the moment but watch this space. The build won't begin until next year sometime so don't get to excited yet…lol

The only idea i got is that you have way too much money and that you dont mind shovin it in front of everybody.
Im sorry, i have nothin against rich people, but the amount of cash youre spendin on your engine is what i earn in 2 years of my current work, and hearin someone saying that you can judge or have an idea of what a car will be by the amount of money involved in the build is plain wrong, and i think checkbook builds are not too exciting for anybody around here really.
Now, thinkin what i can create/do w/ the pile of scrap i got home last week from the steel recycling yard....that is exciting.

The fenderless 64/65 could work, think Doc Frankenstein Elcamino, but i agree that here something went incredibly wrong.

Flaunting your cash is in poor taste, no doubt, but I’m good and tired of the reverse snobbery I encounter so often on the HAMB.

A lot of HAMBsters earn their livings catering to those whose talents lie elsewhere, but still love cars, and therefore must write a check to get the things they want done.

Whether you build it or buy it, the cool thing to do is post what you have or plan, not to post about how cool you are for having the money to do it or buy it.

So what’s going to be in this $26,000 engine? I think I could have all the engine I wanted for mine in about 10% of that figure.

He has...and hacked up the front fenders I DESPERATELY needed for my car...and the doors......and the trunk lid....they "were" even the same color
