WOW... great thread! Should he or should he not seek justice... quite the moral dilemma Bungle is faced with. How will the story end? This is better than an episode of "Dog the Bounty Hunter"... cause we always know how that ends.

Another current thread " United Plating in CA - **DO NOT USE** " is also a very interesting read for those inclined.

Seriously, maybe HAMB ought to have a "sticky thread" titled "Beware of Vendor" to better consolidate and alert HAMB members of these ass-clowns.

    Regards,
    X

I've spent a lot more on parts I'll never use. Lesson learned? Go with a reputable hauler and spend a little extra for piece of mind. Sounds like you thought you could get it hauled home for next to nothing and it didn't work out...

This horse has been beaten past death. Next time just use a nationally recognized company and stop crying over $50. Lesson learned move on

You must make more $ than me because even if I did learn the lesson at hand losing $50 would chap my ass.

Just because it's $50, doesn't make it right. Guess some of you guys are just like the guy that ripped him off for $50. You know, since it's only $50, that makes it acceptable. A crook is a crook, and he needs his ass kicked. I would never rip anyone off for any amount of money.

    RIGHT! Thanks, Wicked.

Most these guys wouldn't be so forgiving had it been them that got ripped off.

Not saying it was right, or ok. Just sayin next time go with a reputable company, not some hack with a truck and a trailer. Lesson learned, he's lucky it wasn't $500, or worse, the car never showed up.

Coincidentally I own a moving company in El Paso, I will move cars, but it ain't my business, frankly I let folks know that it would be cheaper to move their vehicle with a REPUTABLE company whose business is to move cars.

My company has moved tens of thousands of shipments and has NEVER asked for a deposit or to be paid up front. A request for a deposit is the first sign that you are about to get screwed.....

RUN from internet brokers, and "fly by night" local companies who offer a deal that is too good to be true, because it is.

Crooks are crooks and sometimes you just have to settle on the thought that they will
get theirs in an alley somewhere. A bad A/C install in my house, cost me a 3+ year
lawsuit, and thousands of dollars, even though, we settled, and I guess I "won"?? We
never took it to court, and they paid back my basic $9,000 lost, but it didn't pay for
my loss of lawyer fees, and 3+ years of my time, which easily put me in the hole $5K.
The dude will be judged in the end.. you got lucky..

WTF is wrong with this place? did no one at all go to a car show and shoot some pictures? no one found a new barn find this week? nobody has a project with updates?

getting yourself screwed on craiglist and poor help at the parts counter is about all we see here anymore.

There are plenty of ways to make that clowns life miserable all from the comfort of your computer desk. Will it get your money back? Probably not, but some acts of revenge are worth far more than fifty bucks.

I would have a friend answer his add and when he goes to pick up his money you get to meet him face to face then you can put the fear of god into him!!!! Just to see the look on his face is well worth 50 bucks!!! Aint it?

That disclaimer/warning is located in the 'Cars for Sale Section' not the 'Services' section :(
