A buddy bought a house and said the owner had an old coupe stored in the garage and wanted to sell it so we went to look at it today. I was hoping for an old patina`d body to hotrod but what we found was way too nice to change. We`re trying to agree on a price but it`s not cheap even if he accepts my offer. Changes from stock are juice brakes and 12 volt system/alternator. Fired right up. Supposedly sat in a museum for many years. What do you think this baby`s worth? Take a look...
SOn of a bitch that's nice!!! Just an "old coupe" he says..... Well bring it here to Charlotte so I can start making measurements to put my 5w back together haha!!
Are those trim rings on the 18" wheels? I didn't think Henry ever made them....do you know any more about them?
It`s as nice as it looks. The interior is moth eaten somewhat but the body and trim are perfect. Two tone green w/black fenders and silver pinstripes. The problem is it isn`t what I wanted. I wanted a driver like my Model A coupe. The price is below what the car is worth but I hate to wrap up the money in something I don`t really want unless I modify it to suit. I`m not talking big mods, just dropped suspension and traditional steelies/caps and drive it. And I don`t think it`s fair to buy and resell. I`m not sure if I can walk away....and my wife says buy it. He was so proud of those trim rings. Said he had never seen another set.
Buy it and just drop the front down a few inches and run some steelies. Keep everything in case you want to selling later.
I say go for it. You can always drive it as you change up some things. You at least know you could get you money back later if wanted.
Can you believe this guy? His wife says buy it and he hasn't bought it yet!! LOL, just kidding you. I would buy it. Lippy
You'll be kicking yourself in the ass if you don't buy it! How many 32's in this shape are left to stumble across? You may never see another this nice. It's a 32- it's an investment. Listen to the wife- she's obviously smarter than you. Buy it!
This is the best advise you could get. To the point but true(not about the smarter part i dont know yall. lol)
I guess I can blame her if we`re stuck with it for years, huh? There goes my L`ville swap money. I`ll call the guy tomorrow and go drive it and see what other parts come with it. He had several boxes of stuff saved for it. All I really wanted was a steel hotrod coupe. I`ll just have to keep the Model A too.
OMG!.........what a beautiful 5 window.....that's history sittin right there....if you can, get it.....you'll never find another one like that....damn!
That is an amazing find! Once in a lifetime, not to mention the wife is giving you the go ahead. Man you are one lucky MoFo! Best of luck to ya!
