That is a new twist, '56 F-100 with artillery wheels and '54 grille. It works though and looks great. Hats off to job well done.

  14. I live for F100s. I've seen thousands at shows. This one, simple but creative, old skool, the grille & wheels are awsome. One word discribes this pickup (BITCHEN)

F-500. I'm in love. Weird I know, the LB fleetside is probably worth more but I likes em big.

It delivered water in the desert From day 1 until the mid seventies when it and it's trailer were retired. It sat for many years when I found it and traded a 1976 Yamaha TT 500 for it and a 1960 F-100. I got it running then moved and it has sat for 17 years.

Here are some pictures of my 48 F1. Most of the blasting and tin work is done. I guess these would be considered bad;I haven't made it to good yet....

Tim this is my all time favorite truck! I have a 64 Effie now that I'm working on but the 48 & 49 is what I really have always wanted. Keep us posted with more pics as you moove along!

  23. I just went and took these pictures of one I have sitting & rotting in my collection. We used to drive it 30 some years ago. When I first drove it. It was powered by a .040 over bored 292 boat anchor and a factory auto.:p I still have the auto. I once put a 430 mel and a granny 4 speed in it . I have a 351 cleveland and C6. however I doubt Ill ever get around too it. long bed 1/2 ton with 16 in wheels. Anyhow I enjoy just having it just in case.:D OldWolf

There's a longbed '56 F100 not too far from me that I've been eyeballing for about 8 years now. He won't sell (my offer must not be high enough), and it just sits there for the same reasons. :)

I know there's a thread on here already for it but I wish there was more slicks on here!

  26. If a serious buyer comes by and can show me twenty $100 bills and has the means with him to move them immediately. Many of my sitting& rotting projects can go someplace else to sit & rot or whatever. If someone dont have cash& a way to move it they wont even get to look. In sick and tired of looky loos& Ill be backs. lowballers can take a hike. If they are going to be dirt cheap I will buy them myself that is why we have so many. Good Luck OldWolf

Um, that wasn't a knock on ya. He keeps it because he likes to look at it, too. That's what I was posting about.

  28. greed killed the truck.

  29. I dont think its completly dead .If i thought that I would haul it to the car masher and get $400.00 . I have all of this collection because I likes it! and i enjoy having them around. If someone wants to buy from me they will have to prove with cash that they likes them more than I do. Call me greedy ,call me nuts, call me a hoarder It dont change that fact. Nothing wrong with greed. the guy I work for is very greedy he wants more than everyone else. so he borrowed money took great risk& started his company. Thanks to his greed I along with many others have a job. Any way When i was 15 my first Pk was a 55 f 100 292 4V holley teapot stick short bed. I traded a $50 horse for it. The rockers werent oiling. so I installed overhead oilers . they oiled too much and starved the bearings so it knocked& leaked. I sold it for $55. the older guy who bought it installed a nail head from a 57 buick made it into a dependable truck. Any way I prefer the 56 cab style to the 53thru 55,s. Oldwolf
