Event Coverage ***KKOA Salina Ks.*** A few pic's

Almost didn't make this one. Then Friday nite I was looking at some of the coverage on here and it just kept calling to me. Finally woke up Saturday at 4 am and could't sleep so I threw a cooler, camera and an Ipod in the 40 and made the short 4 hour trip to Salina. Found my road partners Jho and his Dad at the motel right away and headed off to the park, met up with The South Omaha Turds who had set-up a little screen tent in the trees and from there on was nothing but fun.
Got to see a bunch of old friends and had a great time talking with all of you, especially Gary and Liz Gerberding, I just don't get to see you guys enough, Bob K and my favorite Corvette and Roger Jetter (40studedude) who's Caddy I feel was one of the best cars there. Was also very cool to see Greezys 40 back on the road with it's new owner (Barn Find T) at the wheel.

Thanks Mick, I looked everywhere for you, saw your Merc but just couldn't seem to catch up to ya. Hated to leave without at least saying hi.

 

There were so many people & cars there it was just impossible to see everyone. We
drove up early Thursday and still didn't have time to do everything. Next year we are
thinking about staying Sunday and just come home late or just stay another night in
kustom paradise.

Glad ya made it home ok...

had a great time. Hotter this year then last year for sure. It seemed like saturday flew by compared to last year, think people left about an hour earlier too due to the heat. Had a good time at the hotels bench racing too.

 

Had a killer time! What a great show! It was cool meeting everyone at the HAMB Meet n Greet, too.

 

Mick - I am not in the "HAMB circle", this is only my second post on the forum after joining last night. I made my first show at KKOA (I had a maroon 1951 Mercury and brought it over to "the gathering" late Saturday afternoon) and I really appreciate you taking the time to talk with me, as I am sort of an outsider to the club...It was fun to talk to you and Ross about our cars. I am just a rookie and I am more of a"stray kat", but I really enjoyed the show and getting to talk briefly with you.
