Wow, your rpu looks great!! I ended up mounting my plate to a nerf bar, and tail lights on the stake pockets to try to make them a little more visible.

Here's a pic of the rear. P.S. I am now accepting donations to fund the chrome plating of the front & rear nerf bars:D:D:

And heck, while I am here, I'll multi-task & throw in a front pic for the thread too haha

Wow, I'm diggin' them up high like that! '37 tail lights I assume? Wish I could help with chroming donations, but I'm trying to figure out monies for doing that with both the RPU AND the triumph chop back in post #420... How can something so small NEED soooo much shiny stuff?!?

I was surprised too, I liked them there, & it keeps them more visible too. Yep, they are 37' Ford tails.

Ha, I hear you on the shiny stuff, it adds up QUICK!

Might as well throw my half done rpu into the mix. I want this one to look like it has been around for a while, 394 Olds engine, trips, TH350. Yesterday we made a mockup bed out of masonite to determine how big it should be, now we can hang the rear end and bend up the real bed. Would like to have it done for the Billetproof Drags next fall.

    Don

  25. I was just going through this thread again...for the 1000 time :D and I started taking a closer look at this pic.

I'm assuming that's the Foye roadster we see nowadays all cleaned up.

It's hard to tell in this pic, because the header looks black and it's lined up alongside the frame rail...but it kind of looks like that's not a model A frame under the body. It looks deeper than an A frame if you look right below the rear quarters.

Another weird thing I noticed..but can't really tell. Looks like a 32 style frame horn on the passenger side?

I donno if it's just me?

Yep! It's on very shortened '32 frame if memory serves, too. I think that picture is '62 at the very first LARS father's day deal.
