Features Model A roadster highboys on Model A frames

Very cool pics fellas. Now we need an A roadster on Deuce rails picture thread. I did a search and couldn't find one. I know I've seen one in the past. Any help??

 

I find it funny that the first picture you posted was of johns roadster
this thread is over 2 years old
and that it still is in the same spot and look exactly the same

That's Brian Bauer's '29 out of Monrovia,Ca. Probably my most favorite "A" on "A" rails ever. Has a Chevy II four cylinder that's hopped up with a Frontenac valve cover backed by a '39 top shift trans. This car has influenced my long sitting '29 roadster pick up more than I could say.
I'll have to post some better pictures of mine soon because I'll be pushing it out of my shop for the first time in years to move my lathe home. Might just give me the shot in the ass I need to finish it up. Two of the worst picts ever - but it is my veiw from my press every day as I work...

 

Willy, love the highboy. Is that a stock top?

 

Yup its a stock top, original irons with redone woodwork and a lebaron-bonney top. I couldnt get myself to cut it down so I left it stock. If I come across another set up I may cut it down to have a chopped top.

 

Why is it ,when you see 300 A modle`s there all different,when you see 300 32`s there all the same ??????

Every once in a while I take a stroll through these pages and waffle back and forth about how to set up my roadster.
I'm putting together an A chassis for it and thinking about the desired look... right now, I'm being pulled towards a lowboy look.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

 

May or may not have found me a roadster body today...pretty stoked

 

I picked up a 30 roadster last weekend. I'm planning on doing a late 40's early 50's style hot rod on a model a frame. Great thread keep them coming!

 

Mocked up the roadster today. This is kind of the look I'm going for, but with the windshield stanchions chopped.

Couldn't resist, great thread, amazing photos! I recently bought 21stud's early A, banger powered roadster. It's still in LA but will be making it's way to Melbourne Australia very soon. Cool example of a pre WWII stripped down Hot Rod.
