Its not what you'd call a precision machine. I cancelled my contract to make sprockets for Rolex watches.

  7. Oh yeah...here's mine.

480" (4.500 X 3.76), Merlin III, 6 1/2" Carillos, Venolia 15:1s, Dart 320s by Giannino, Summers front mag drive, Reed roller 4/4 (15736842 firing order),1969 Crower stack injection.

    905hp @ 7800 & 748lb/ft @ 6200. It gets the job done...

I like it. That BMW V12 has sort of an Allison V-1710 vibe going.

I'm guessing that even though you clearly stated "nambla loving shat box chubby deep throat double gager engines are exempt",
    - that by popular bag licking vote, 'the baddest engine' will still end up being an oil burning cam lobe eating self destructive planned obsolescence general moaners 3rd place shat block chubby that to this very day continues to garner absolutely Z-E-R-O respect in any and all international racing circles and/or sanctioning bodies throughout and not limited to the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990', and right on up through the turn of the century and even quit possibly into the next afterbirth (ala Car and backdoor Driver/Shovey Lover magazine).

RE: So who has the baddest ass mill ?

Again! What is wrong with the Small Block Chevy. It still rules the aftermarket high performance industry. It has been reconfigured and has been pushed to every extreme.
Maybe there should be categories like aspirated and non aspirated.
Weight to cu in would be interesting categories.
As it is, the topic is too general. There is great activism, however.[IMG]
II don't know if this is a bad ass mill but it is rare.[IMG]

"the Small Block Chevy. It still rules the aftermarket high performance industry"

    - only because it needed the aftermarket industry to keep up with everybody else...

  22. Can we get back to pictures of modified engines before this gets shut down?

This post illustrates perfectly the strength of the big block Ford engine combination. I've said it before I'll say it again..... The most horsepower per dollar you can get with factory parts bar none.

A BMW V-12 with Holley 4 barrels? Just doesn't cut it.......no way should that engine have anything other than injection.

  26. Not that the FlatCad Bonneville race team is biased, self-promoting or anything like that :)

But . . . we think this one is a contender - started out as a 'traditional' 1940 Cadillac Flathead V8 . . . we just 'tweaked' it a little

    366 cubes, 575 horsepower at 5500 rpm on gas . . .
