    Travis...

Great meeting you at Bright's and seeing you over the weekend ! Your car is kool too !

The heat had me bogged-down on Sat. & Sun. but your pix showed me some rides I had missed...thanks !

PS: I'm gonna check with Darryl Starbird about getting a Bubble Top installed over the entire City of Salina for next year !!

Drag RACE?" LOL...Dan and I were just screwing around...it certainly wasn't a "race"...my car was so hott from sitting in that line trying to get in it barely ran...and Dan said his was vapor locking on the "run"...

Waaaa-aaaaaayyyy too many street rods, waaaa-aaaaayyy too many locals and their "new" stuff racing...but all Jerry Titus can see is cash in his pocket.

Thanx for putting up some kool pix Travis...!!!

That's about it for H.A.M.B. friendly drag shots from me, I should have shot more video, my mistake there.

I'm down for that! It is rainy but beautiful in the mid 90's this week, I'll take it over the last 6 weeks of torturous temps and humidity. It was good to finally meet you and put a face with the awesome website!

Okay so drag race was an exaggeration..... but it was cool to see you guys come down the track together! Hopefully next year the cutoff year can be more strictly enforced!

    More are on the way!

Part 9! Saturday...hell has opened it's doors and unleashed it's heat on Salina, KS

Lucky for us the show has moved to Oakdale Park which has plenty of shade trees, but that kinda makes it rough on very sunny days when you're trying to shoot cool pictures.

That's it for Part 9, I'm heading back to the office now.

    See you at a show,

Kool pics Travis! Keep posting them I'm seeing cars that I didn't see there. One of
these days I need to quit talking so much and do more looking.. Next year we are
already talking about staying another day. Do we go Wednsday or stay around Sunday
and go back late or come back early Monday morning.

    Happy Trails, Mick

Mick. You need to learn how to talk and walk at the same time. I would through in chewing gum also but that would be to complicated.

Since a storm has the sump pump kicking on and off and it's keeping me awake I might as well do the next post!

    Part 10!

Still on Saturday at the 2011 KKOA Leadsled Spectacular in Salina, KS...

I never did shoot enough of this car this weekend. I've seen the beautiful Merc a couple of times this year and just flat out neglected getting good shots this time, my apologies!

I just love Yaril's shoebox and I keep taking photos of it!

McPhail's Fairlane was in attendance, looking killer as always.

By Saturday afternoon they'd made a lot of progress on the chop
    [IMG]

I believe that this was the car chopped at the 2009 event
    [IMG]

Here's a couple of shots of McPhail's 58 Apache. It's looking good guys!

Voodoo Jim left the coupe at a home and brought the big car
    [IMG]

Jeff (finkd) brought one of the world's most beautiful Caddy's
    [IMG]

Alex Gambino brought out the F.U. 54, it was a long strange trip from Cali & back but it's good to know he got back home safely.

John Wells (coolstuff) working hard in his booth....dammit I meant to pick up a copy of that mag before the weekend ended.

    Don's BEAUTIFUL kustom
    [IMG]

One of my favorite's from the LSRU trip shows up in Salina!....and this is the only shot of it I get... (see a pattern here? Too much talking in the shade not enough walking around getting shots for all of you!)

This car looked pretty much perfect to me, and trust me I kept looking again and again.

Finally.... the H.A.M.B. Meet & Greet shot! I'm sorry that I made you folks sit in the sun for this! I'm going to lighten up the shadows on those of you who didn't get squeezed into the sunlight, just didn't want to make anyone sit there any longer than absolutely necessary.

That's it for part 10, the storm has passed now and my alarm clock has started going off... so much for being awake at my desk today! I'll try to do another post over lunch hour!

    Part 11! Saturday coverage continues

When we last left off from our adventure we'd seen the group pic of the H.A.M.B. meet & greet. We'll continue with some shots of the folks hanging out at the M&G.

This is my favorite truck that I've seen this year. Kan't remember the kats name but it is
from the Springfield area. Love the 40 Ford dash. Hopefully you had the chance to check
    it out last weekend.

Thanks Travis for the picture of me carrying the purse. LOL!!

Thanks Harry LOL! (Yah thanks a lot Travis for taken the purse pic) I usually don't carry
it until its dark. What happen after I passed out because of the heat when I woke up I
thought that it was night fall. Maybe giving the Merc to the Grandson will help motivate
Bscott to get his Merc on the road.

Thanks to TwoTall Okie and Ben Mitchell for the door prizes...

    Happy Trails, Mick

Part 13! I'm heading out soon to hit 2 more shows so I apologize for only one post today, this 20 images per post limit really slows down my coverage as it takes a little while to put the posts together, anywhoooooo, here we go!

That's it for the Saturday coverage....finally! As I said I'm off to a couple of small town shows today to see if I can drum up some paying photoshoots, time to put some money in the bank to cover hotels and travel as I'll hit about 14 shows between this weekend and Thanksgiving! Click on any of the photos to see the full gallery and if you see something that you like please consider buying a download or print to help with my travel expenses!

    See you at a show!

Thanks for all of the positive feedback folks! I do try very hard to provide you with the best coverage possible of as many shows as I can hit, seeing your appreciation goes a long way when I'm tired and up late at night editing the shots and such. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the guys who've bought prints this week too!

Next event for me is the H.A.M.B. drags, hope to see ya there!
