How about 1964 Buick Wildcat factory mags. Barris used those a lot on his cars.

I have a set of the wire wheels. They aren't very nice but you are welcome to borrow them and put a tire on 'em to see how they look on your car.
I have to go to Toluca Lake monday or tuesday and could drop them off.

They are either truspokes or original kelsey hayes. To be honest I have not looked at them in many years. I am cleaning up the shop and my helper stacked them in a corner.
Chrome will probably shine up enough to get an idea....

I'll be back in the shop tomorrow and take a picture. Don't know about selling though.
There are pinstripe white wall tires on there but they may be on the inside. It's been so long.
    I'll post a pic tomorrow.

There's someone on here with a set of the buick wheels that have either had the black sections stripped, or they've been rechromed and not had the black sections repainted. Looks great and would be era correct for a mid 60s custom. I go in spells of looking for a set for my caddy... can't ever seem to find any when I've got some cash...

    Great build! Keep it up!

Looking for inspiration you said... Well Gene Winfield built a factory prototype for my car called the 300X. The Chrysler designers provided him with some pretty futuristic interior renderings.

You have done some excellent work so far, I know you could actually run with these ideas for your caddy.

This is Genes actual car he did. I have the production version, a 1968 Chrysler 300 convertible.

Your thought to go with a version of the front grille in the rear is spot on. Thanks for posting. I know that is a lot of work in itself. I am enjoying your progress immensely.

I think a set of 15" Astro Supremes sounds about right for the build, if you're not going to break the bank on a set of wires.

  27. star wires or tru spokes. thats the ticket.

Thanx so much, this is pretty cool!!!! the interior is definitely luxury and loungy!!!:)

I love the star wires Mitch!!!!

Lots of gentle filling and different types of ROLOC pads, worn 36 g, blue pads, 80 g, etc..... always gentle with wide motion, if you stay in one area too long you'll go too deep!!

It's all trial and error for me since it's the first time i modify a bumper. you just gotta go slow , i have almost a whole day in just that section.
