What is the diamond patch you welded on the frame, strengthen? is that for steering clearance? did you make the c notch?

  4. That diamond patch is for strength. Yes it was for clearance since this thing is soo damn low. My good buddy is the one that has done most of the fab work on the frame. Im doing pretty much everything else. Like I said I have all kinds of good ideas and what not for this one. Keep posted.

Where did you cut for steering clearance? I was planning on using slam specialties bags and then piecing the rest. did you go with 1/2'' lines?

  6. I will get you the specs when I get ahold of my buddy.

  7. Ok here it is: My bags are firestone 2500's front and rear and they are 3/8 port,1/2 inch line and the notch plate is 3/16 plate.

  8. More pics as promised.

Here is the upper and lower links before braced.

As you can see we ended up not using the big notch because it was over kill. We barely had to cut the frame.

Ended up going with heims joints. I dont like the skull much but wont see them. They were well priced and they are rebuildable.

Have the heims and ballistic joints mounted and powder coat very soon.

  9. Few more

mounted shocks, all thats left is finish welding and disassemble and its ready for powdercoat
    [IMG]

got the frame stripped, and replaced the rotted front cross member with a new one, just some cleaning up here and there with a grinder and its ready for powdercoating
    [IMG]

This is an original crossmember. Not one of the cheap ones.

got the frame and parts back from powdercoat, frame is satin black and components are gloss black, looks sweet

Take lots of pics when you go to finish it up. It might be a while before I get to bag mine but im going to go ahead and get the driveshaft tunnel and rear east area ready...easier to do know while the car is a part.

  23. Yeah might aswell get started. I will take a bunch of pics

  24. Getting alittle closer to bringing the car home. My buddy will be finishing up the front end and rear floors. Its still going to be atleast a couple more weeks.

By the way im selling a pair of steel cruiser skirts if anyone is interested.
