On Saturday I fired up the C59A in my AV8 build. After an initial lack of spark, I replaced the brand new condenser with a grubby old Ford logo one and away it went. Revs freely, sounds strong, no smoke, fumes or leaks, 60-70lbs oil pressure, the rebuilt to 12v gennie charges fine, all gauges work, all lights, horn and flashers work, and the twin Smithys sound great. Ran it for 1/2 hour in the shed, and could still put my hand on the water pipe from head to radiator, all thanks to a 6 blade fan, no stats, Drake pumps and Mustang radiator. Am I happy? HELL YEAH!!!
