Check out a place called Wagonwheel Gift Shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I don't know the phone number but it should be easy enough to find. They have been in business for years and I have been there a few times on vacations and they will ship stuff anywhere. Good quality and service.

Be different and recycle. Try and find some of those old quilt blankets. Those old square patchwork ones. That that would be cool and different, and would really fit in in an old car, more so than one of those Mexican blankets.

Watch out for the ones made in China.

  19. If need be I live in San Antonio Texas- we have this area downtown, which is real close to my house that has 100s of vendors some directly from Mexico but all carry authentic Mexican blankets not cheap flea market BS. I bought mine from there like $40 for 3 blankets. You can PM if ya want - I'll be more than happy to help.

to be honest iv never thought of them as Mexican blankets more like Indian blankets. i like the look. if you go look in the social section, there is some guy who thought he was gonna make a killing off the blankets so he bought a bunch when he came to visit us.. apparently they were not selling at the shows.. i bet he still has some for sale.

    chris.

    p.s
when im ready for the blanket.. ill have to make a tee kill ya photo blog run to Mexico to get one.. may as well make it something to remember!!! a good old traditional hang over to ho with the blanket lol.

El Paso Saddle Blanket Company in Texas. This is one very interesting place!! You won't be disappointed as it all seems to be authentic.
