Since new records are being set on the salt on a daily basis there, I would imagine that the salt is in pretty darn good condition! :)

  12. Chuck G. Great pictures you shot .. I LOVE how you have racecars in your collection of pictures, you also took real nice shots of some killer Hotrods for the street.I just got home a couple of hours ago, this year was too short for me but it was great just like your pictures show.

I'm glad you guys like the pictures. I finally made it home so here are the pictures from this morning (Monday).

A storm swept through on Sunday night and I was worried that they might have to shut things down for a while but it wasn't that bad. The entrance was pretty wet but the track was ready with only a slight delay.

These guys went over 400 mph on Sunday but turned out at the 1/2 mile for the back-up run so they didn't get the record.

I think these guys came from Italy. It was an old indy car tub and engine with a frame built around it.

I went to the starting line first then went down to the 5 mile mark to watch the really fast stuff make a pass. Unfortunately, the Poteet/Main car turned out early but I got to see Nearburg make a pass at 385 mph.

That's it. If you like hot rods and race cars, you need to come to Bonneville.

Love the pictures! Sort of cringe a bit at some of the awesome rigs on salt!

Thanks for the shots guys.... I really hope we can get back there next year... (Although I think the budget will be a bit tight for that for a few more years yet....)
