Hey guys, Baileigh is having a great Tech Contest here on the HAMB in a week or so. We are going to give away $1,000 in Baileigh bucks.

Do we want one $1,000 winner or 2 $500 winners?

Well, I'm not at all involved in the tech contest, but thanks for offering it all the same. Seems like a real nice thing to do! Oh, and I'd vote for 2 $500 winners. Spread the love around.

I'd say $1000. You do enough tech weeks and metal working tools are expensive enough that I think it's important for the participants to step up their game and get first first prize and potentially get a entire tool that would benefit them.

Perhaps some other sponsors can step up for second and third. SHirts, art, alliance membership etc.

I'm just going to quote what I put in the other thread.

I like the idea, maybe not just a joint first place either, maybe one category gets "most impressive" and the other is "most likely to be used by other HAMB members" or something like that. Some of the best tech pieces are just worlds above the skill levels of the average guy, which I do like to see, but I also really like the ones where I learn something that I'll actually be able to use. I think that would be a great idea, just throwin' it out there.

 

you know there are sooo many good ideas that get posted on tech week, i say two winners would be better.

 

i vote for dual cash, but still make it so one wins. i.e... $700 / $300 not 500/500.

One contest or two? Body work vs ch***is, tool /jig fixture vs finished product or whatever or just a tie for the top two?
