Finally starting project 35 acting like a 36

  1. Looking good Roy!
    I like that you kept the undropped axle, but that's easier with a z'ed frame ;)
    If you need anything let me know.
    Got a bunch of left over parts from my project.

    starting to get the rear lined up and make the 4 link bar's .. and mounts... getting there.... having a lot of fun,...and learning so much... especially from this site... the information on here ... is so valuable.... thanx to the H.A.M.B. site.. and people...

    well finally got some time in the garage,.... and sorted out my rear suspension.. 4 link, coil overs. panhard bar..2 degree pinion angle...just going to clean it all up and weld everything together.... adding a few brackets here and there... cant wait to get it a roller... pictures and more to come soon....

    finished the rear tonight... and finished welding the frame for the last time... rear welded this week and then she will be on the ground ,...and on the wheels I hope....[​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    well have my brackets on the rear.. and my front notches in place... and most of my suspension and brake parts here... and a couple weeks off work... looks like i might have a rolling chassis in place soon..... hope so... that will be a huge boost to the build....back with more soon....

    [​IMG][​IMG]well finally got it off the chassis jig.... and now the fun begins....I hope ... just waiting for my spindles being bushed ..... and then the front will be on .. hope to have it on the ground soon....im getting excited about this now....

    Nice work. Keep it up. I have had way too much stuff going on this summer and have not been able to plug away at mine, but your progress is getting me excited to get back in the garage.

    update for today.... its finally on the wheels.... the rear is sitting just about perfect height with weight on it.... the front has to come down a little.... im thinking ill take a couple leafs out..since I am only running a 2.3 four banger... it only weighs 400lbs... im getting excited about my progress lately....

    a little outside action...... cant wait till it is going out for a drive.... I am sort of following the style of fuxl's truck.... loosely.. love the stance and look of his truck...hope mine is even close....[​IMG][​IMG]

    my daughters boy friend came over... and helped me put the cab on the frame.. need some tweeking here and there..... and some channeling... maybe 2 inches... I'm liking it so far....[​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    Thats looking good! Chop looks just right, and i agree maybe a small channeling and dhe should be perfect! I like the quality of your work. Top notch for sure!

    thanx 60galixyJJ i sure hope so..... with the help of the H.A.M.B. members it has a great chance.... couldnt do it with out you guys and gals....

    Martin..the rears are coker firestone and front are coker firestone's as well... rears 10 x 30 x 15... front 640 x 15 ....

    I was playing around with the steering column and pedals today... think I have it figured out ... for now anyways.... looks like there is going to be enough room for all 3 and me.... more to come soon...

    today I was putting the steering column in.. made a bracket to hold it to the dash.... its very industrial looking.... I like that look.... still figuring out the pedals... going back and forth with swing... or under floor... and hydraulic or cable..

    also got a little work done on the bed... building a frame to hold the sides... and figuring out the "look"... having a great time though...
