One of my favorite Hambers I have ever met after all these years is also one of the first ones I ever met........ a guy who laughs, has a big heart and big personality. I'm talking of course about my pal Chad---"Chaddilac" from Muskogee, OK. Recently while googling his name on the web I realized there were indeed 2 Chadillac's (one is from California) both of whom are graphic designers and artists and even have very similar logos and websites. I was like "WTF?" ---"one of these dudes is an imposter"---so I'm real concerned and decided this needs to be reconciled...right here and now so I asked Chad about it...........he quietly tried to re***ure me that he was "the real deal" and the other guy was some kind of copycat fake or something..........and then.....he posed for this picture to prove to all of us on the HAMB that he has nothing to hide...........I don't really know what to say at this point. OMG!

 

is that the "real" Chadillac, or the "real" Chadillac?

 

wtf?! I was remincing about the days behind the wheel of the Willys!

 

Great to see ya'........even if it was on the backside......haha......we had to wait (?) to see Joplin til' this morning........it was VERY emotional.......I had a few close friends from High School lose houses & family were allright hiding in tanning beds in the destruction........it was 'crazy' chatting with the locals and watching them hold back tears.......I'm VERY glad that Ryan still had the Drags this year & us 'fools' were able to help out.

Oh yea, the guy in the first shot...........Henry, our 2 year old boy......saw him pull up behind us on the pavement and he said "Hotrod".....Great.......like this kid needs to spend money on cars.......he needs to read books.

 

I am so ashamed I didn't make the 2 hour drive to Joplin. I pussed out. With this Diabetes...I can't take the heat anymore. Sorry I missed meeting you Paul, and I'm also sorry you had to put up with the 3 stooges...Chad, Tom, and Mike!

Still driving home... Had to stop at the blue whale and do the bailing wire trick on the muffler!!!!

I was headed across the grounds at the drags to say Hi but it was soooooooo damned hot I lost my train of thought and went in search of some shade and cool drink..sorry. Maybe see you next trip through Omaha, eh?

Must have been jinxed! After that we blew a brake line so we pinched it off with vice grips. We were low on fluid but we didn't have any. The cooler was empty but we remembered what bobwop used when this happened to him so we "filled" the master cylinder and were on our way. The brakes were a little spongy but I think it'll be OK.

Speaking of the Oklahoma guys we sure enjoyed the story of how Toast (my pal Tom) got his name. Easy to laugh about it now but of course the poor man's wife was almost a young widow that day a few years ago. Thanks for telling us about it again.

 

I would like to thank everyone from Kansas EXCEPT Engine Pro 5X for showing up at this years Hamb Drags........he was a no show.....need to change his name to George Jones.

 

$$$$ I hate to bring this up but due to a cash flow problem " Hint Hint " I couldn't make it !!! And I Know Ill Never Hear The End Of It Either !!! >>>>.
