Will be holed up in Time and Life building in NYC, iF AUTHORITIES SAY EVACUATE DO IT, could save your life. Good luck to all in its path.
We have mandatory evacuation going on for tomorrow for people right off the c****s and bay. I know some diehards are going to ride it out though. By all means, be somewhere safer if possible. My son commutes from LI to Westchester for work, he's holing up somewhere locally since he has to go into work in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Bob
Good luck to all of you! What FARMERGAL SAID IS RIGHT! We tend to forget the basics in emergency situations.
Over here we piss and moan about the weather all the time but holy cow, this is a whole different level. I'm saying a prayer for you guys over there right now! Best of luck to all, keep safe farmergal. Paul
We're hoping that it will be downgraded by the time it hits Maine. I took today off to pull my boat and dock , and to play. When we have a big blow, what I can't get inside a garage or shed gets put out to pasture away from any trees. Usually that's my F-150 and my son's Saturn. Wish you all the best. John
maine should be okay and out of the immediate hurricane threat, probably a tropical storm by then...heavy rain and moderate winds. be safe guys...and gals!
I heard from a friend of mine in North Carolina, right near the coast. They've gotten everything ****oned down and plenty of batteries and beer. Should be good to go.
Good luck to all! Prayers are with you. YOU, your family and pets are the important things...stuff is just that, stuff! No house, car, or anything else material is worth losing life over. If you have an opportunity to evac safely and quickly, do so. I've had all my **** ****tered across three counties from a tornado in May 2003, so I've been there, done that.
... and hot wings, home brewed hot salsa and ribs on the grill... nothing like a hurricane party, no matter what. Bob
Weather people figure it should be down to a catagory 1 level by the time it reaches CT..Hopefully it will back down alot sooner for every bodys sake..And I thought all the snow this winter ****ed...Got the sheds tied down to whats in them and the yard pretty cleaned up except for the chrismas reindeer..They are staying out till the last possible minute cause it pisses one of my neighbors off...
Guess I'll be busy tomorrow. I can stand at my mailbox and look South and see the North Shore of Long Island on a clear day, that's 30 miles away, sure hope all those trees survive the storm.
Well as of 2.15 am in Grantsboro NC its raining its *** off and windy. Thats about it so far, ive been in the garage all day. The winds are definatly picking up. Were supposed to get slammed. Ive got everything ready that I can, gas, generator, food and beer.
We're just supposed to get the outer rain bands and we aint really gotten **** yet.... Not that I'm complainin....good luck to all that are in the way
I went to Mississippi after Katrina to do clean up. I was waiting to get loaded in a small coastal town that was completely wiped out and there were many dead bodys in the rubble. As I waited a fellow came by on a scooter and was looking around for some of his stuff. As I visited with him I found out he had went through the tidal surge on top of a building. I asked him why the hell they didn't get out, we knew in Texas 3 days ahead of time that it was going to be an ***-ripper. He said since they made it through Camille and figured they could make it through Katrina. Don't be a casualty, get out when they say get out.
We're saying our prayers, crossing our fingers and hoping that everybody is going to be okay after this terrible storm. Be safe ya'll! Klaus
Meh! Its just a little rain storm you pussies!! Hey, I'm a ***** but that bad?? NAH.......... (I hope) Good luck to everyone in the face of this storm. Put everything that means something to you (Besides the Rod!) up high, we recently got the rain and flooding but were lucky to dodge the winds. A bit of 'smarts' goes a long way!! Doc. PS, I'm qualified rescue, you bet your **** I'd be there to help out if I could!!
