I met Richard out at Bonneville in 08. He invited us to come visit and like a dummy I haven't gone yet. It is now high on my to do list. Real high.

The red 32 was built in my shop and then Richard bought it (it is the reconstruction of the Chuck Price Roadster). Richard is one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Always look forward to seeing him when he's out here.

hotroddon answered the mail on one of the (Chuck Price) red roadsters in the photo collection. Here's a little bit on the other. No it is not the Gray Baskerville '32. That car is in the care of Jim Shelton in Nevada. This particular red roadster was built by Richard and his buddy and racing partner Jim Busby. It's a "clone" of the Stanley Wanlass bronze sculpture standing nearby. The sculpture and the life-size car were on display together at the Grand National Roadster Show a couple of years ago and it was the hit of the show. It was a n outstanding presentation by an outstanding guy. I'm very fortunate to count Richard among my friends. There aren't many like him.

Man O' man what a awesome collection. Those 32's just kill me. Saw the champagne roadster out at the AMBR show back in 07. That black chopped fenderless 5-window is just killer. Thanks for the pics.

  22. And if you meant the first one, It was the car that influenced Paul Horning, the guy who originally built and owned what became known as the Gray Baskerville car.

nope, he is not that old. He is in his mid-70's. He just had a birthday in September.

on a side note...he and I just put together a deal. He got one of my favorite's...1955 Olds two door with column-shifted three speed manual. I got a very nice 1936 Chevy Master Town Sedan that is a very capable driver.

    plus we are pals!
