That was by far the hardest yet. I hope I got that right. I was going to try the front view but it was just too difficult.

Forgot to remove the rear bumper, that would have bugged me forever so I did one more, just for fun, gave it a more early hotrod look.

    Thanks!

  10. mrjynx, Outstanding! You are good. Thanks so much. Any chance off doing one with the body color on the frame gas tank? Either way Thanks Again Mark

just some vague lines, Im not really a paint expert.

ct1932ford - I dont know if you meant the frame, or just the gas tank. not much light makes it kinda hard to see.

Post #7470 has the pictures. I'm looking to see it with black smoothies, blackwalls.
Maybe chrome reverse with WWWs, and finally some 16" aluminum slots with WWW slicks and something like a 12 spoke with a WWW on the front. I am getting ready to order wheels and tires and trying to decide which way to go!

    Thanks a bunch.

  13. im likin where this is goin. any way i could see maybe a little darker brown. im going after something along the lines of a "smoked poop" color (haha just kidding). maybe darker on the red. if someone really does a bitchin job ill paypal them $10 haha should compensate for the beer you drank while messing with it

  14. heres the original; pic

I decided to have another go at the Lincoln.

It took me awhile to find the grille I wanted at an angle I could use. This is a 1954 Ford with the center bullet removed and stretched a bit through the center.

This is what it looks like when I just lay the colours over it. to get anything else it would require a full paint over which is just beyond me. perhaps one of the other guys could do it.

you may wana hold on ordering those wheels, Id help but I just dont understand the terms what youre asking for.

smoothies, ok normal rims, but what do you want on the center?
smooth caps, chrome bolts, bullet thing?
chrome reverse, I know what they are in theory, I just dont know what they look
    like.
aluminium slots. dont know. www slicks u mean like hurst firestones?
and I tried to google 12 spoke but it just brings up modern ricer rims.

Yes, the firestone WWW cheater slicks would be great. The front spokes like the gassers ran.
Any center would be fine. Maybe spiders or smooth chrome centers.
Just looking for some ideas before I drop the big cash. I am open to suggestions so anyones opinon would be great too!

Here is a slightly different version of the Lincoln with a 1954 Ford grille.
The center opening of the grille lines up with the sinuous hood shut lines.
The parking lights work better with the headlights, too.

    More unified design, I think.

Thnaks man, I think that just about NAILED it! Now All I have to do is find one! I was messing with the stock grille over the weekend. Cut a few things up, took a few "extra" pieces of it off.... This is what I came up with so far, not married to it, but it will at least do until I can find something else. I don't have the parking lights or the outside extensions, but I'd like to see what it would look like with them or something similar. Anyone....?

coolbreeze1340 - sorry theyre pretty poor but finding wheels that line up is hard. I had to chop half a dozen images together. maybe one of the other guys can do better.

My Buddy owns this 57 Chevy and is thinking about putting a straight axle in it. Would anybody be willing to make it look like a gasser?
Straight axle, 5 spoke mag wheels, remove the front bumper, white fenderwell headers, moon tank in the grille..?
Here's 2 pics of the car if they are workable?
    Thanks!

Here's a quick 'n dirty version of a '51 Buick in the Lincoln.

Looks like a chrome picket fence!

This model really needs a horizontal motif to emphasize the width, I think.

from those pictures its gonna be really friggin difficult. first, cant see the front obviously for the tank. second is a bit too dark and not enough front showing to get axle, tank, or just stock that matches.

heres some links to some of the stock images id use.
If you could provide another image that matches those perspectives (can be flipped) then yea. or, find another car like his. flames could be painted on.

Links to stock parts if anyone wants to do it.
