#28873 on page 1444 looks like us99 at ft. tejon ca area. (the 'grapevine' before I-5 replaced it.) and this style engine from post #28878... disney HAD one on display ( shorter and in a different railroad color) at california adventures at disneyland. it is now gone... along with the other two cars... the second one a beautiful streamlined tail end car. hopefully they will put it in a new display.

JohnnyGee is right, look at the front tires of the car at the bottom just right of center,,
easier to see if you blow it up..
And there are no 1940 Chevys that I see,
    only 47 and later..
but maybe that's what he meant to say..

Stan parted out a mid to late 20's Stutz. It had 6 bolt rims similar to the pic.
Also, Stutz was known for fender ends that were separable or separate from the center bumper or spreader.
I cannot say that the pic is a Stutz or not but I know for a fact that he had at least one which was parted.

  14. I heard a story that at one time Wisconsin had more one armed bandits as Las Vegas... many were stowed away in Wisconsin in preparation of Illinois making gambling legal which didn't happen!
