Roy, great slide in that #23 car. Is that the car Harkey sometimes ran back in the day?
Did you drive the red and white #10!! That was my brothers car. He ran it at Selinsgrove in the 60s.

    Josh;
Here are several pics of the #10 car. In its original look. It was a home built car, built by a guy by the name of William Tarr from Franklin, PA. Dick Kelm ran it before my brother got it. Kelm ran some URC and once with IMCA at Tampa.
A guy named Sauers restored it, but very little is like it was as my brother Dick ran it.

The car didnt have cross bar rear when brother got it either.
When brother Dick had it painted that purple, that was the hardest car to see running on the track with it!

I'm new so PLEASE forgive me because I couldn't help myself. I just purchased Mickey Thompsons Challenger IV off road racer and it was based off of a sprint car, Halibrand hubs and all! I know it does not quite fit the rules to the thread but True Sprint car guys might get a kick out of it.......

Testing the day before the 1978 MINT 400 off road race in Las Vegas Nevada.

As it sits now in my garage.........

    Carl,
Havasu is only 50 miles away, I will put it on my calender for sure. is that the same weekend as the SEMA show in Vegas?
    Rootie,
That shock is 41" long, pretty sure it was the longest shock ever back then and all custom made from MT's shop. It went through a couple changes, from a smooth bodied shock to a coilover shock the following year (and the smaller shocks were switched to smooth bodied). Check out the Magnesium Dana 60 with Titanium axle tubes!!

Yes, same days as SEMA (and Oval Nats at perris) :>(

We'll be back to Havasu City in the Spring so see what you can do then.

    Enjoy your new addition!

For those that might be interested - the Racing Expo for Hinchliffe Stadium, scheduled for Sunday, September 4th, has been canceled, due to weather related problems, and will not be made up.

This is very off topic but GO SEE THE MOVIE Senna!!! I have never seen a racing movie like this, kind of a documentary but that doesn't describe it either, JUST GO SEE IT, focus on it and REALLY watch it, pay attention to the in car camera's see how fast the cars changed in F1 in a short time. I'm not an F1 fan but this movie is awesome!!

Not to be a nitpicker but is it too much to ask that the man's name be spelled correctly on a MUSEUM sign? Edmunds!

The guy is only the best car builder of a generation. Every knock off space frame car on E-Bay claims to be one of his creations. He at least deserves his name spelled right.

The way Daddy explained it to me both spellings are correct, it is just that those members of the clan destined to have trouble in their lives get a "t" thrown in as a warning.

Seriously, Don EDMUNDS name must be misspelled half the time in the For Sale ads. A great museum should check these things.
